Golotafans...listen up! :!: I just spoke with Scoop Malinowski & he said Golota wants to make a come back: "I heard Golota wants to fight again, some easy fights then one last one. He's in shape and training, he lost the weight. His son is in Peru playing tennis now with his friend who is Peruvian and a very good player." No extra charge about Golota's son being a tennis junkie. Which is a good thing. I'll bet we see him on the Pro Tennis Tour is a few years. About Golota, I asked Scoop if that "one last fight" might be something meaningful. Have to wait to hear back from him. Personally, I don't think its a good idea, but if he can whip himself in the best shape possible, maybe he won't embarrase himself like he did against Adamek. Just thought I'd pass this info along. At least Golotafans will have something to think & talk about now. :good
I strongly believe Golota beat IBF Champ Byrd & WBA Champ Ruiz in '04, but those brutal wars finished him. Sadly, no matter what shape he gets in now, Golota will be beyond-shot, so i'm sad to hear he's making a comeback.
Ol' Golota, he is one crazy ****ing dude. I don't even know why, but I'd like to see him go out with a win.
I would have loved to see him in against the Klitschkos when he was at his peak (after Bowe I). Golota had some very underrated boxing skills.
Always an interesting fighter. When Golota boxes with short heavy punches he was actually very effective more than when he would go toe to toe those heavy hands would take a toll on his opponents. I think he was totally done by the Adamek fight he should enjoy his retirement. Fight with Arreola might be interesting.
He wasn't underrated in my book. 1st time I ever saw him against Donnell Nickolson, a Manny Stewart prospect, I couldn't believe my eyes, how good he was technically. But when he head-butted Donnell, even though he was kicking his ass, & I asked myself: WTF!?:think
chris bryd is the most under-appreciated fighter of recent times. he fought everyone and never ducked a fight.
Probably needs money and honestly I see nothing wrong with this as long as his brain scan comes back clean.
Always liked him. Just not quite stable enough to keep it together. Considering the state of the current scene, I could see him rematching Adamek if Adamek loses to Vitali. Could also see: Fury/Chisora/Helenius All of those guys could use a name on their resume. Helenius especially seems to be working to gain ring experience. :thumbsup Exactly! :thumbsup
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Golota is not Tyson or Holyfield, who pissed their $$$ away. Plus, Golota's wife is a lawyer making very good $$$. He just can't stop the urge to beat someone up again!:yep
BTW, its nice to see Golota getting some respect for all the good things he did in the ring! :good This content is protected :fire
There is something strangely likeable about Golota, maybe because hes so unpredicatably crazy! Not sure what he'll achieve by a comeback, he wont win a title as hes way over the hill to face a K. A prime Golota would have been fun! A Golota without the craziness even more interesting.
Just because I mentioned money doesn't make me a hater. C'mon why would he be fighting again? I can see if the Klits were gone then he'd definitely be the dark horse in a wide open division.
I'm sorry! Didn't direct that comment to you. I was just thinking about some of the wise guys that are bound to show up eventually. :good
A Golota comeback would be fun to watch if he really was back in shape (better than Adamek fight). He won't have that same punch though which sucks but if his heads on right then that would be a sight to see.
