So, I decided to create my fantasy boxing team based on young fighters (All Teenagers).

The way I did this was basically to trawl Boxrec for upcoming fighters that we probably havn't heard a lot of. Once I found somebody that had debuted in the last few years, I checked their record, and if it looked promising I started to scout them on Google and YouTube and surprisingly there is a wealth of footage out there for a lot of guys whether its amateur (mostly) or pro. God bless YouTube. Even though they might be obscure names now, somewhere out there are the next champions and its up to you to find them...

I thought this might make a decent thread, if people can actually be arsed that is. For this purpose, being a boxrec warrior is acceptable. :D

So lets see who you can find...I'm came up with a few interesting guys...obviously yours don't have to be teenagers, that was just the theme for my team.

No, they absolutely don't. That was just the theme for my team. Any age should give people plenty of scope.

Right, I'll be back at about 1-3 in the morning with some obscure super-flyweights.

You don't even have to find footage for them, some anecdotal reporting is fine. Though its surprising how much footage is out there in the amateurs. As long as there is some basis for informing us of the prospect. We can see how a few of these guys turn out.

Theres a featherweight from Liverpool called James Dickens. He is 20 and puts his punches together very well.

I really believe in the last 2 guys I posted. Eddie Gomez was a national junior Olympic champion in the ams, was considered the best amateur prospect in New York. He's of Honduran descent. He's signed to Golden Boy, and interestingly seems to be boxing out of Puerto Rico. He did well at school, seems a bright kid, he's fast, in great shape, great reflexes. My only concern about him is his height if he's going to box at junior middle, at 5'7 he's on the smaller side. At 18 years old I think this guy has so much up side.

Fidel Maldonado's video I believe speaks for itself. This kid is going to be very exciting, he's a natural puncher with an incredible 45 knockouts in the amateurs at only 19 years old. Also signed to Golden boy, I can see him picking up great fanfare.

cant link any clips but saw Jesse Magdaleno on his pro debut last year on top ranks site. Kid looks proper quality, much better prospect than his brother imo. Interesting to note Top Rank signed his brother after seeing Jesse fight as an amateur. Building a relationship to make sure they got the younger brother once he turned over.

You can bring Maldonado and his paper record, but all he'll be leaving with is a broken jaw :deal

Tsuchiya is like the biggest puncher in the sport...Ever.
