If even half of those lads went pro at some stage we would have a fair few good pro prospects to follow.

I think half of the ones you listed to turn pro is more realistic than all of the ones listed. Theres a few lads there that would not be suitable to the pro game id say:think

He should definitely go pro. Has the perfect style. Tommy McCarthy is another who I think might make the big step. He's slick and to be fair he seems to be getting a lot stronger. He could make a very powerful, quick cruiserweight.

There could be a couple from the flyweight division to make the move. I know they are all young, but my guess is that Phelan, Conlon, Burnett won't want to have a titanic battle on their hands each year in the seniors just to make the elite squad. It could be either of the three on any given year that wins the seniors.

How many boxers per weight can get paid under the grant system? For example, in the LW category, are Mcdonagh Joyce and Donovan all being paid by the sports council?

Does anyone know why Ross Hickey has not travelled to the World military championships? I know he has the box-offs coming up but this would still be good preparation. Bouhenia (Egan's foe) and Vastine are there with the French team, even though the worlds are just around the corner...

When I say not suitable, I dont mean that they dont have the talent, just that their style not might transfer well to the pro game. For instance, I always thought Kenny Egan would have made a better am than a pro.

I wonder who will get to go to the worlds, Hickey or Moylette? Its a tough choice.

Got to be moylette for me,he took his oppurtunity and repaid the faith ten fold,At international level this guy is brilliant a world and euro gold medal says it The problem they have (the iaba) is if they ask him to box off they will have to ask Ward and they dont want that.Let them both have a lash at first qualifying via the world championships they deserve that for what they have done and i believe the seniors will be on before the other qualifiers so that team will sort itself out.

I have trebled checked- and they all keep telling me Tommy is the first.

By all accounts he has a massive Irish support on the show
