Mayweather is good, but far too calculating.

A level in or near their primes and best in the division at the time of the bouts.

    Manny Pacquiao
Marco Antonio Barrera. (first fight), W TKO 11. 1(1)-0-0
    Juan Manuel Marquez. I,II &III. D, W SD & ?. 2(1)-0-1
Erik Morales. (first fight), L UD. 2(1)-1-1.
    Shane Mosley. W UD. 3(1)-1-1.
If you give oppoents in close/contervisual fights the benifit of the doubt than Pacquiao is 0-2 vs. Marquez making him 2(1)-3.
    Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    Genaro Hernandez. W R8. 1(1)-0-0
    Diego Corrales. W TKO 10. 2(2)-0-0
Jose Luis Castillo. (first fight). 3(2)-0-0
Carlos Manuel Baldomir. W UD. 4(2)-0-0
Oscar De La Hoya. W SD. 5(2)-0-0
    Ricky Hatton. W TKO 10. 6(3)-0-0
Juan Manuel Marquez. W UD 7(3)-0-0.
    Shane Mosley. W UD. 8(3)-0-0.
If you give oppoents in close/contervisual fights the benifit of the doubt than Mayweather is 0-1 vs Castillio making him 7(3)-1-0.

Comparing common opponets Mayweather fought and beat better versions of De La Hoya and Hatton than Pacquiao did and while Marquez was better when he faced Pacquiao in their first 2 matches, then he was when he fought Mayweather. Mayweather has a more decivice result over him.

How people think Manny Pacquiao has a better resume let alone one that can compete with Mayweather's is beyond any reasonable logic.

According to the poll, 82% believe Pac has the better resume, and that includes a number of ESB's *****s who picked Pac over Floyd.

    :deal

It a Knee-Jerk reaction. Its the same with the Oscar De La Hoya thread. When you actually list Mayweather resume H2H with other boxers, you quickly find that Mayweather beat a bunch of top rated contenders, champions, and the vast majority of the boxers he beat were coming off dominating victories.

Mayweather has the most underrated resume on ESB.

On paper Pacquiao has the better list of opponents. But take into account that he fought most of these names coming off of losses, far from their prime, and at ridiculous catchweights and Floyd clearly has the better resume.

How many possible All Time Greats have each beaten?

MP: Barrera, Morales, Marquez, DLH, Mosley, possibly Cotto

FM: Marquez, DLH, Mosley, possibly Castillo (sorry no Diego)

As good as FM's resume is at 130, there was no one as good as Barrera/Morales/Marquez. At the lower weights itself Pacquiao has
a better resume, forget about the higher weights.

Morale was no where near ATG caliber when Pacquiao beat him. He was well past it and weight drained.

The only true prime ATG that either is said to have beaten is Barrera for Pacquiao.

Marquez when Pacquiao beat him was not an ATG. His resume was nowhere near ATG caliber. Right now, he might crack the top 100.

In your eyes (which being blurred by floyds semen) all Pac's opponents are not ATG's when he beat them simple as that :hat

De La Hoya for Pacquio should be removed and Cotto dose not belong eather.
    Diego belongs for Mayweather.
In bouts with Marquez, Morales, Barrera during times when they were at or near there best Pacquiao is 2(1)-1-1. With only the Bareera result being decicive. Throw in the Mosley result and that's 3(1)-1-1. Realistictly he could have lost both decisions to Marquez and be 2(1)-3-0 in those match ups.

What's the argument for Pacquiao having the better resume?
Mayweather has fought better guys than he has. Mayweather has beaten better guys than Pacquiao has and Pacquiao has only one championships in one more division 6 to Mayweather's 5. Even if you are counting the 147 & 154 championships gifted to Pacquiao. Mayweather still comes out on top.
