Young frustrates him, a la Tillis, but Tyson keeps coming at him, outworks him, and wins it by about nine rounds to three. Mike was quicker and more skillful than Foreman and wouldn't have been as troubled by Jimmy.

Tyson KO inside five rounds.. Young is slick, and I know he beat Foreman. But Tyson IMO puts his punches together better then this Foreman and has better hand speed, Foreman was very wild with his punches making him easy to counter.. Foreman had a very crude style at times, but was so strong and fierce and had that heavy punch that it didn't matter much...Tyson at this time was much more polished then the Foreman who fought Young.. I don't see Jimmy making it into the 6th... I don't think Young would be able to take all that Ruddock did in '91...

to be honest, i think tyson put his punches better than any version of foreman.

young could be knocked out, though i like the prior tillis analogy and if tillis could extend him the distance so could young

Young outsmarts, outboxes, and outfights the 1991 Tyson. Jimmy by comfortable points verdict. It would take a prime 1988 Tyson to beat the 1977 Young. Even then it would n't be easy for Mike.

Young was also a lot better than Tillis, and Tyson '86 was more effective than his 1991 self.

I reckon it would be tough. Tyson could grind Young down.

No way would it be easy for the winner.....

I agree.. He didn't have the size, strength and raw power of George but he threw fast hard combos to the body and head, Foreman threw those huge swinging bombs... Tyson much more polished..

Another upset decision for Young unless the judges were to come up with a successful straegy ala the Ali and Norton fights.

See the guy in my avater? He would have frustrated the **** out of Mike Tyson..and he wouldn't have even been able to take a bite out of Jimmy's ear...that would have eluded him too.

It would take a peak Tyson to potentially stop Young in my opinion. 1991 Tyson wins this one by a decision, but looks largely unimpressive as in the Bonecrusher Smith fight.

I don't know. Young had an habit of turning boxing match into...well... something else. I would say Tyson by UD, but I don't know if Tyson was strong enough mentally to support Young's shenanigans for 12 rounds. Foreman sure wasn't.
