I said it was mainly because of his chin, this was a recent fight where he has shown us something different @Fleaman - His legs, he's still young and learning and they'll get better, they held up ok in the Maidana fight if I remember Froch does everything ok, which is not bad, kind of like Kotelnik, you wouldn't say he was brilliant in any area, apart from his heart/chin. MOST of his recent wins have not been won convincingly, maybe so like Khan, but on balance I'd say Khan is above Froch
Khans legs: I mean his footwork for ****s sake. Frock doesn't have great ability, I never said that. But Amir, technically, is woeful.
He was talking about other people name-dropping Khan. Not Khan name-dropping Hatton. And he's right. Popular fighters like Hatton, Calzaghe and Haye, didn't name-drop Khan to get attention.
It's because of his speed that arguing with most of these imbeciles is pointless. It makes someone of limited technical ability APPEAR to be better than they are to the casual observer.
He is nothing like him, but Kotelnik does everything that is needed, he doesnt have one standout ability, that is the comparison I was making with Carl. Khans footwork ain't great, yes, but I wanted to make a point on his legs holding up in the Maidana fight. Prior to the conditioning he is receiving now, you'd have to agree it would be likely he would of gone down from that Maidana shot. He's improving, he'll be working to sort out these issues out with his footwork, he's not the finished article or at his peak. Whereas Carl is at his peak, won't improve much imo from where he is right now, which is very good. We are saying at this stage Khan and Carl are close, when one is at his peak and the other is getting there. Different levels
Good for him, you have to act like the best, if you want to be the best. What do you expect him to say, I'm the third best British fighter after Froch and Haye? HBO must see something in him if they are choosing to give him a $1.5 million dollars per fight.
I think Khan can say what he likes, I mean he is out there fighting in the States from the age of 23yrs, where were Hatton, Calzaghe, Froch, Haye when they 23yrs old? Khan is fighting the best in his division and as long as he keeps winning he can say what he wants, but if he loses these words will come back to hunt him so he better keep backing it up. There is nothing wrong in thinking your the best, it's when you start thinking your not then that's a problem.
Okay, so he should say "No, I'm probably the shittest boxer in Britain right now" atsch Calling yourself the best has suddenly become the #1 crime in the world.
