Haye said on the radio interview that he is not facing Wlad on July 2 because he has the Chagaev mandatory. Told u all. THE FIGHT AIN'T HAPPENING!
He accepted everything Wlad wanted, even for the fight to happen in Germany, which Wlad demanded. Let's just keep it to one point and see who is being stubborn, yeah? At first, Wlad said "anywhere" and Haye wanted Britain or America. Wlad said "no" to Vegas. A few days later, Wlad says "no" to America entirely. Haye then drops the idea of America and asks for Britain, where it would have the best atmosphere and make the most money. Wlad says "no" and demands Germany. Haye accepts. Here is a direct quote from Wlad: "I am ready to fight against David Haye anywhere in this world," he said. "He just needs to make the next step. Sign the contract, get in the ring and get the fight." That just isn't true though, is it? Haye wanted Britain or America which is "anywhere in the world", right? Wlad simply said "No." If anyone has bent over backwards recently to make the fight happen, as this one scenario proves, it's Haye.
How do you know the fight would make more money in the UK? If you throw gate money and sponsoring together, would a fight in England gross more than a fight in Germany? Just asking, I couldn't guesstimate the answer, how well did other stadium fights in the UK do? All I found was Lewis vs Bruno, not sure how good a comparison that is: Bönte always said they'd stage the fight only where they believe it would generate the most revenues. What if - just hypothetically - that place happens to be Germany? Is that so unbelievable?
I think it is, yeah. For one, the British pound is stronger than the Euro. Secondly, in Britain, the fight would sell more individual tickets as nowhere in Germany could they sell 80,000 like Wembley and it would be a sell out over here. Thirdly, ticket prices on the continent are cheaper than in Britain. So they'd sell more tickets, each ticket would be more expensive and the pound in stronger than the Euro. There's no doubt the fight makes more money here. When you consider British PPV, which would be bigger if the fight is over here, that would add more weight to more money being generated here. The Klitschko's have a set contract regardless of who they fight, but if the fight was in Britain, there would be more promotional appearances and it'd do bigger numbers on PPV. Wlad went back on his word. He said he'd fight Haye anywhere and that's a lie. He rejected Vageas specifically, he then rejected America as a whole, he rejected Britain and wouldn't budge on the fight being in Germany. Haye wanted the fight to be in Britain or America, so it has to be noted that he did give away a lot to make the fight happen.
Coming up with other ways the Klitschko's are gonna lose or suck. All ending with the mention that he is a Klitschko fan himself
