See, that is what you don't understand it isn't even the KO loss that has people calling him Glass Jawed it was the MULTIPLE knockdowns by completely feather fisted hand picked opposition before that. Hell, if not for a crooked referee he would have been KOed before Prescott.

A one fight result does not change anything especially when he has only fought one puncher since the Prescott KO.

 

In wild card they use 12-14 ounce gloves thats a bit light for sparring ??

 

Khan has shown no weakness at 140. If his chin was glass, Maidana would have knocked him out and that's irrefutable.

However, he certainly doesn't have one of the best chins in boxing and sparring doesn't disprove anything, because of the mentality, gloves and head gear. It seems to be average or decent but that's about it. He can still be hurt, knocked down and out.

 

LOL! He doesnt have close to one of the best chins in boxing and he must be an idiot if he really thinks he does.

His chin isnt as soft as some people make out but I think its just average.

 

Those feather fisted punchers put him down at 135, but at 140 the hardest puncher couldn't even put him down. So it was obviously the weight that drained him. Kotelnik is harder puncher than michael gomez and willie limmond. So you can't really say he has a 'weak chin' at 140 as he has proved otherwise, but you could make a case for him having a weak chin at 135.

 

The face that Khan pretends to be so modest while consistently showing off a massive, deluded ego anmodest image are the main reason a lot of Brits don't like him, not because he's a Muslim.

 

I think Khan does have a below average chin. Even at 140.

 

This is the sort of comment that will turn fans against Khan.

 

Maybe Khan was talking about the aesthetically pleasing shape of his chin? Possibly can't mean his punch resistance.

Bull****, his weaknesses are still there. They certainly aren't as bad as the haters would make out though.
He can be hurt, he leaves his chin out, his footwork is dreadful (yes he's fast with his feet but for somebody who trains alongside pacquiao his movement should be miles better) and he reaches with some of his punches and can be made to miss and is prone to shoe shining at times.
All that said I think he is the joint best fighter in the division and has so much potential to improve. Imagine if he moved like pac (good lateral movement, don't let the oppositon get set), used his great jab, kept his chin tucked, focused on quality combos with a fewer punches rather than rapid flurry's with nothing on them and worked the body when his speed brings his opponents hands up. He's shown he can do this in parts, he needs time and practice to improve and get the consistency that great fighters have. I think he can do it given time and care but to say he hasn't shown weakness is a bit far fetched mate :good

 

I think Berto has the best chin in boxing.

 

Every time he opens his gob it becomes a public relations disaster.. I mean his chin barely held up against maidana. I say this because maidana proved one thing to me in that his finishing is lacking. An elite level fighter would have jumped all over khan with decisive punches, his legs were gone and he was there for the taking..

I awake this morning to this claptrap and the more I hear the more I dislike.
