24 yr old Hatton vs 24 yr old Khan who do you have?

    Just been watching a few old videos of Hatton , and at 24 was pretty close to as good as he was going to be.

    Khan also looks close to prime as I dont think once he slow down will he be as effective.

    Cut out the popularity and skills as I think Hatton is way ahead on the popularity and Khan is way ahead on skills.

    But as a mix of styles who do you have winning at this stage in their careers.

    I just have Hatton , I think his speed closes the gap and his strength is too much for Khan , who I dont think is going to be able to hold him off.

    Hatton in about 10.

    I think Hatton crushes Khan, yeah hes fast but he will get walked down and when under attack he seems to stand still with his gloves hight protecting his chin, and he does it stood upright not hunched to get his elbows low . Leaving his kidneys and ribs exposed for Hatton, who we know was known as a body puncher, to go at him.

    This might seem odd now , but Tony Pep was stopped by Hatton in 4 , where as he lost to Mayweather on points , and he was not getting stopped by many fighters.

    Khan for me,Hatton didn`t knock out any prime fighters with body shots just old men who were years past their best.

    I think this fantasy match up depends on who the referee is......Will it be a Dave Parris type referee who allows Hatton to consistently foul his opponent?

    Even if Hatton was overrated, Khan is currently more overrated by many people. He's a fast guy with limited skills. Lousy footwork, leaky defense, little imagination, sloppy. He's even more one dimensional than the brawling Hatton, who actually outboxed some decent opponents. Khan has a long range game and that's it. No in game, little mid range.

    Hatton in his prime, or even pre-prime Hatton of 2003, roughs up today's Khan and beats him up. Khan lacks the generalship and footwork to keep it his style of fight.

    Hatton would make him quit..I think Hatton's pressure would punish Khan for 9 or 10 rounds till he got knocked by body chin combo or he just qui cuz he was gettin hit too much..

    I think this is the Myth of Hatton , Tszyu was the first to hold , Mayweather was the first to hold , yes he did hold against Collazo , but is he any worse than Hopkins???

    Hatton's primary offensive weapon was a leaping half left jab-half left uppercut. Other than that, he lunged in, grabbed, then would step off to the side from the grabbing to unload a left hook to the body from very close range - mostly blocked by an opponents right arm/elbow, but occasionally landing.

    Khan went to Freddie Roach with only a right hand from the shoulder and straight flurries - he couldn't even punch. He hardly had a guard at all. He now has a jab, a right hand from the foot, awesome hooks to the body with either hand, and great punch variety (right hook, left uppercut). He also has a very tight difficult guard.

    Hatton was 5'5, Khan is 5'11. It would be almost impossible for Ricky to land a punch on Amir. We have got to be realistic here.
