Its not their fault, they didn't choose to be born with a poor chin. Ok i understand why fighters with iron chins get idolized but I think fighters with poor chins deserve credit too because after all they know its not the best yet they still get in the ring which shows massive bravery and deserves some respect.
Just projecting their own insecurities on others. Its easy to do that being a key board warrior. All these chin checkers would **** their pants entering the ring with any of the glass jawed "jokes" they love to hate on.
I respect glass chin fighters a lot, knowing you can basically get ko'd by anyone with a decent punch yet be brave enough to get in the ring and take on challenges is impressive. I think people consider a glass jaw as a big sign of weakness, one of my favourite fighters is thomas hearns, despite his chin he was legendary thats why he was extremely exciting.
I totally agree, I box and while I do take pride in being able to take a good shot I just hate when guys behind their computer screens and give the abuse they do to pro fighters who risk their lives in the ring for the entertainment of these fools.
People like this are like back seat drivers, they see a guy get KOd and criticize them even though they wouldnt do any better in given situation.
The chin Checker ***s are just a bunch of insecure, archair QB's who think they educate posters. Best to ignore them....they rarely participate on anything serious.
All fighters have their critics. From the entertainment perspective, there's nothing wrong with a bit of glass in the chin!, even if it's just a touch of glass. Khan is especially great to watch, and should be lauded for his heroic efforts to overcome his shaky mandible. Hearns, Benn, Jackson, Norris, Junior Jones, Vincent Pettway, James Page - all warriors who never let a sometimes vulnerable set of whiskers stop them dealing out spectacular, highlight reel thrashings with both hair raising ferocity and consummate professionalism. It's when a fighter behaves like Fraudley that it gets pathetic.
The only thing these chin checker idiots are good at is checking their chins to make sure they line up with each others ballsacks. They're like human paddle balls... atsch:
Comes from the fear of death. A psycho anaylist would say it has to do with being concerned about putting stock into someone who may likely have a downfall. Same thing as when a guy whose ass every kisses starts to get old and lose it. People start trying to walk all over him or avoid.
The late Bill Gallo uses "ability to take punches" as a criteria when rating ATGs. Being glass jawed is a big disadvantage for boxers, but should not be used to hate them. Being a quitter or cheater deserves hate, but not being glass jawed.
I believe it takes a lot of balls to get into the ring when you know you can't take much of a punch but people still find a way to hate on that sort of bravery, as they sit at their keyboards.
