Being a professional fighter is one of the toughest jobs on the planet. A lot of these so called glass jawed fighters have good chins at one time but the years of sparring and fights takes something out of you and punch resistance declines. Still, these guys can take a punch better than someone who sits behind their computer and never fought. I respect any guy that gets in there. Remember, anyone can get knocked down, but not anyone would get up. And to get back in the ring is courageous. But the term "glass jaw" is not accurate and very overused on this site.
Lance_uttercunt is a glass jawed poster and everyone on ESB hates him. Heres a story that Lance confessed to when I made him unravel on another thread. Lance confessed to going to a boxing gym for one day but said he found it too tough to handle. Uttercunt got ***** slapped by some ***** who saw him in his drag and thought he was trying to take pitch. The ***** ran home in tears and hid behind the sofa
Glassed jawed fighters have the most balls out of any fighter, they know there's a good possibility they're done for with the first solid shot and yet try to make a living where their opponents job is to try and lace them for 12 rounds, unreal. Credit to the glass jaw warriors.
I agree with you here. Thomas Hearns is one of my favourite fighters, and one thing he never really developed was a proper defence for that chin of his - yet he still wasn't afraid to take a punch despite there being a chance of getting KO'd. One of my favourite MMA fighters is/was Andrei Arlovski, who gets a fair bit of flack for having a 'glass chin' - yet he still goes in to fight against top heavyweights who have punching power. Got to respect that.
im tired and drunk but tommy's chin isnt half as bad as made outy to be...i mean srl caught him with a hook in the 6th that he never seen, as did barkley and he broke his hand in the 1st againt marv. the guys at that level are all very tough and can take a **** load of punishment.
