I love that you compare a number in fact to your own amateur speculation to try to debunk a statistic.

And without floyd - pacquiao is fighting Marquez 14ish lbs north of where Marquez has ever chalked up noteworthy wins!

I am not saying that Spad is as epic a fighter as JMM, what i am saying is that there are only lesser opponents than eachother for each other to fight.

That's why Bob Arum turned down the multi-fight deal Floyd wanted right?

"It just wasn't in the cards. You got to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em." -- Bob Arum when asked about his multi-fight deal with Mayweather that would have included Margarito, Cotto, and Hatton.

Floyd had actually agreed to Margarito and Cotto. He wanted extra money for Hatton, and he also wanted to fight Oscar. BOB ARUM is the one who said NO. Of course, don't let facts get in the way of your inaccurate perceptions.

If you don't know the facts, don't bother replying. It is obvious you don't.

When Floyd's contract was ending with Arum after the Zab Judah fight (he was buying out of it for $500k) Bob Arum came with a 3-fight deal that included Margarito, Cotto and Hatton.

According to Bob Arum: Floyd had agreed to fight Margarito and Cotto, but he wanted 10 million to fight Hatton instead of 8 million. He also wanted to fight Oscar for 20 million. Bob Arum said no and gave his reasoning: Mayweather wasn't worth that kind of money and decided to let Mayweather go his own way. This was reported on ESPN by the way.

Like I said: Don't let facts get in the way of your inaccurate perceptions.

Yea, he priced himself out of the Hatton and Oscar fights. :patsch

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. Bob Arum admitted Mayweather agreed to fight Cotto and Margarito. It was the Hatton and DLH fights that Arum had a problem with. Arum also admitted it was his decision not to sign Mayweather to that fight deal because of ROI reasons. Arum didn't feel Floyd could pull in big numbers. He was wrong......

Why do you think Arum is always talking so much about Mayweather? He's been pissed ever since Floyd got those huge paydays against Oscar and Hatton. Uncle Bob didn't get his cut, so he is pouting.

:patsch So why didn't he fight Margarito and Cotto if he agreed to them? WTF does a purse against Hatton or Goldy have to do with the other two fights if he agreed?

Sounds like an easy opportunity duck with a handy excuse his fanboys will buy and try to sell. :-(

Because it was a 3 fight deal, not a 2 fight deal that Bob Arum was asking for. Ask Bob Arum why he turned down the counter offer. Floyd offered him a 4 fight deal that would have allowed him to stay with Top Rank. It was a difference of 2 million dollars with Hatton. Considering Floyd made 20+ on his own, and he offered to fight for 10, I'd say Bob would have had a sweet deal. Floyd had always been chasing Oscar since his lightweight days, so that fight was a sticking point with him. Considering they did 2.15 million PPV buys, his $20 million request for Oscar would have still netted Arum a substantial profit as well.

Handy excuse for fanboys? Give me a ****ing break. It's called facts. And I'm quoting THE OTHER SIDE, not Mayweather's. Why would Bob Arum spin this for Floyd's benefit? Exactly.... he wouldn't.

Fact is: Bob Arum made a poor business decision. :deal Get over it.
