Really enjoyed that - if Chisora gets his ass in gear and gets in shape he'll come back better than ever. I really hope that he doesn't get dispondent with the sport because he has great natural movement and speed for a HW. Naive was Dereck. Thought he could just walk through Fury but he should learn a lot from that fight if he's honest with himself. As for Fury, he made a big fan of me. He showed a lot of toughness, high punch output, willing to work hard, a will to win... It's a long time since I found myself shouting at the TV wanting a boxer to win so badly but Fury made me do that tonight. Hats off to them both for producing a fantastic domestic HW scrap with a lot of heart and guts (no pun Del)... Thank **** the days of Rogan and Skelton are gone. :happy
Me Nan could of dodged them hayemakers Chisora was trying to land in the last couple of rounds they were that slow and shes dead.
Nothing for the chincheckers in this fight so its not surprising youre having a whinge. 2 young prospects in the best domestic fight HW in a while on a free channel:good
Agreed. When you compare it to what we have been served up in recent years at HW. This fight was a classic.
Compared to recent fights, it was one for the ages. Fury certainly has the following raw materials: Hand Speed, Size and Stamina. If he can develop his power and skillset, including making the most of his size, he could become very good indeed. I would not fight Klitschko though, especially for peanuts.
This was a great night for British boxing. Well done to FW. Disappointed in Chisora's effort as he came in at a career 263 and it showed. Next time he needs to quit watching the Joe Frazier videos and actually learn to throw punches. Fury though did a great job and is better than I originally thought. Uses his height well. Throws plenty of punches. Has a sturdy chin and good punch variety. Dam good night for British boxing on terrestrial TV. Britain has a new star and two new names that the public now know about.
Why FW? Genuinely curious, he had fck all to do with it besides being the losing promoter. Personally just delighted to see a good, competitive fight on terrestrial tv. Hopefully 5 get into boxing properly, and the likes of FW give their prospects some terrestrial time.
Great post. No homo. Everyone I have met today has talked to me about the fight. Chisora is a good heavyweight who needs to focus on his boxing and his fitness because he can still be a big contender for any none Klit heavyweight boxer otherwise I can defiently see him going down the Sprott road if he is not making too much money in the used car sales game..... Fury is still a very young heavyweight. I would keep him away from top level for along while yet as long as he his intelligent enough not to get really fat. Fury can still improve alot and looks to be showing improvements and a good fitness for a big man, with the right training and outside the ring advice he could be a world champion once the Klits have gone but I will always fear that his gypsy dad ways will get the better of him...hope not because Tyson appears to be a top fella.
