Last night Ellis Boxing Enterprises run by youngsters Brock and Jake Ellis promoted their second show at the Sunshine Rollerskating Centre in Victoria with just over 1,000 people in attendance.

The main event was between Thai-Patomsuk Pathompothong and Heath Ellis. Patomsuk won to take the WBC Interim World Youth title at 154lbs. The scores (96-94, 96-94, 95-95). The Thai was the aggressor, winging hooking shots all night. Heath fought predominantly on the backmove. It was a tricky fight to score with the Thai coming out on top via after

In the co-main event Dwight Ritchie won a unanimous decision over Leroy Brown. It was a close opening half, Brown was cut in round three. Ritchie swept rounds 4-7 with workrate and fast counters. Brown fought back strong in the final rounds. (80-72, 79-73, 77-75). Final scorecard is most accurate. It was a war!!

Ranee Ganoy scored a TKO victory over Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat, 2:51 into the first round. Two knockdowns and many bodyshots hurt the Thai early and thereafter he meekly folded.

Michael Zerafa scored a 4 round unanimous decision win over Aswin Cabuy. 39-35 was the score on all scorecards. It was a good learning fight. Zerafa had a point deducted in round three for hitting a downed opponent.

Lyndon Edney won by a first round TKO after two knockdowns and body shot combinations.

Ring your mate Ziggy for some footage.

Actually what ever happened to you having your "last ever amateur fight before turning pro" on one of Ziggy's cards?

Great fight just as i expected:good
He's got a real future this kid with his fast handspeed and wicked counter punching.
It was a bit of a risk taking this fight and it's paid off nicely its just a shame it wasn't televised for more people to see.
They are looking at another fight later in the year and hopefully a shot at Tongia early next year which would be an absoloute ripper of a fight.
    Well done Dwayne!

I heard he spent the whole fight loading up looking to land one shot at a time. I'll see someone tonight who was there and ask them.

He was beaten fair and square just trying to knock him out no workrate.
    should retire.
They love paying for their oponents trophy cabinet, and santion fees, thats twice they have been caught out must cost them a fortune.
where to now cant beat thais and wont fight aussies, might have to fight midgets.

Has been exposed agian his old man was swearing at the judges, he is a goose, its his fualt all judges hate him.

The wbc would like to know if you are a share holder, GOOSE

Shock loss for Heath Ellis. His opponent's record didn't suggest he'd give any trouble. I saw Heath beat Brian Fogarty early in his career and thought he'd be one to watch. Very disappointing.

Thought Heath was going to go places in the sport. But plainly he isn't.
