A lot of peeps say this but I haven't seen anything any different from any other fight. Someone will probably say that he gets hit cleanly by them but Floyd has taken a clean shot in plenty of fights. It may just be one clean shot but that's how it's been against southpaws too.

    This is what I saw:

    Southpaw:
Corley clogged his head with a clean shot. Then got the **** beat out of him.

Judah gave him trouble. Then got the **** beat out of him. (keep in mind Zab knew Floyd like the back of his hand because of all the training they did together before)

    Every other SP got embarrassed.

Now granted he fought more conventionals but...

    For conventional:
    JC gave him trouble

    JLC arguably beat him

ODLH almost beat him(some still feel he did)

SSM almost put him on the canvas, before getting schooled.

So thinking about this I can't see how the verdict has been made that he has trouble with southpaws, no more than any other boxer.

Maybe someone saw something I missed and can educate me.

Corley and Judah - who did they ever beat at WW ?

If they gave him any bit of trouble what would the best offensive southpaw of all time do ? Or SMM ? And with Floyd being 5 years older ?

Everyone has trouble with southpaws. Southpaws have trouble with Southpaws.
All things considered Mayweather has a pretty good track record with southpaws.

Are you aware that Floyd fights using the Shoulder Roll? And that style is susceptible to Southpaws...

Corley and Judah were very mediocre Southpaws and still landed flush on Floyd/Wobbled him. Mayweather beat those guys because he has faster reflexes, hand speed, etc. He had every advantage.

Pacquiao is no bum like Corley and will relentlessly break through his shoulder roll with ease, he is faster than Floyd, more powerful and will throw from angles in which he can't defend.

He usually looks a bit vulnerable in the early rounds, but it is especially accentuated when fighting against southpaws; the angles are different, and take longer to adjust to. He didn't just get hit cleanly by the one's he's fought; he got rocked by Corely, and touched the canvas with Judah. He's technically good enough to turn the tide of the fight and dominate, but a dynamic southpaw will be able to use the advantage of fighting from those positions more consistently, and so the threat of that stance seems more salient when considering a fight with Pacquiao.

You didn't Even begin to answer my question. I used those two SPs because I can't remember any others hitting him cleanly. I think sharmba did but that's it.

So let me clarify, it isn't about who he fought, it's about SPs and orthos. Pause hating Floyd for a sec so you can understand the question.

All jokes aside, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? You don't have to answer if you don't want.

Do you understand that Floyd Knows this and uses the high guard just as much against southpaws until he figures them out.

Do you understand that this question isn't about Floyd fighting PAC as I didn't even mention his name.

Do you understand that this thread isn't about Corley or zab's skill set and that they were only mention because I wad trying to remember a southpaw that hit him cleanly.

Do you understand that the point is, Floyd has been in more trouble against right handers than he has left handers

    Do you understand?

Preciate the intelligent response. Now my question to you is, vs the number of southpaws he fought vs those two who actually hit him how is that enough to say he has trouble. What Corley did is no different from wht Shane did except Shane hit him twice. Zab is faster than Floyd and knows him. Zab got a KD but that wasn't trouble to Floyd cause it was a balance thing. Zab troubled Floyd in other ways.

So what I'm saying is that out of all the southpaws that Floyd fought, only one troubled him(Zab)
And one hit him with a shot that had him IN TROUBLE (Corley)
To me that is not enough to say he has troubles with SPs. Especially when none came close to beating him, but all of his big struggles came from orthos

Remember nobody has seen Floyd fight in 16 months come September.
    He won't be better.
