Well this match up definately has mixed opinion, thats what would make it intriguing. If I had of said Fury/Helenius vs fighters like Thompson, Chambers, Arreola etc people would have all come to the same conclussion as those 3 fighters were not able to live at HW European level, but matching two on the way up European HWs makes for an exciting match up
To be honest except Helenius's punching power I don't see anything he does better than Fury. Might be enough though considering he crushed Peter and Brewster. Fury UD
I struggle to see a KO in this fight as both so far seem to have decent chins when they have taken clean shots
this is a dumb thread and a horrible mismatch. are people really overestimating fury like that because he beat a grossly out of shape chisora who could barely muster the strength to punch? helenius just knocked out sam peter and is about to fight the scary belarussian. do you know what the scary belarussian would do to fury? break him in half
I would probably pick Helenius but Helenius only beat Peter coming off a terrible beating when Peter was on the way down. I would have picked Fury to beat that version of Peter. Helenius next opponent hasnt been in with a top HW for 3 1/2 years and when he was he got beat. So I wont look for much in that fight and dont think its as scary as you seem to think it is. Fury has beaten some fair people himself for the stage he is at
Peter was also 260lbs....20 heavier than against Wladimir....and yet, he still outboxed Helenius some of the rounds. I think Helenius has a stamina problem, and his body, especially his stomach has a weird shape to it (Fury looks sort of weird too though). With all that said, I do think Helenius is decent, he's a good fighter.
Against Peter Rob wasn't at his best, he was probably a bit too nervous. Watch the Brewster fight; Lamon was shot but it was impressive eleventh fight for Rob.
