I agree with many of your points. But, it seems you are using this more defensive, counter punching version of Judah as a barometer to gauge how Mayweather would do against Khan. That's natural...fight just happened last night. However, while Judah can slip punches and set traps, he was, rarely, ever first during exchanges with Khan. He would duck low and not come back with anything. He'd put a jab--or two or three--out there, and not set up anything with it. In other words, he was going through the motions, after his primary weapon was neutralized.

Floyd has a purpose for every punch he throws, and every time he slips and his opponent misses, his intent is to make them pay. He's getting older, obviously, and slowing a bit. But, he has also gotten stronger and can now use his physicality to control his opponents, as well.

As long as Floyd can operate at the level he was at during his last time out (and that was technically past his physical prime), I don't see Khan beating him. Sure, maybe in a few years when he can't make his mind and body work in harmony, as he does now, Khan would have a very good chance of beating him. But, would we even rate this win for Khan as high, at that point?

Khan had "serious" advantages over Floyd...lol. So how would those "advantages" translate to a fight with Manny?

Those advantages don't matter. emmanuel doesn't like to fight young guys coming off good wins. This thread isn't even about emmanuel.

If they fight any time in the next 12 months Floyd will still have more then enough to deal with Khan. Amir's only chance is catching Floyd when he is over the hill in maybe 18 months time imo.

Floyd would beat Khan and Pacquiao.

Fighters dont fight the way they do, when they step in the ring with Mayweather.

Pacquiao and khan will both realise this next year.

Khan is a warrior and would fight, lets just see if that ***** pacquiao mans up and decides to take the tests..

Pac & Khan are true nightmares for those slick african american fighters. Floyd won´t be able deal with that kind of speed and their inordinate rhythm. Flodys game neutralizing his oppents offense, reading their punches and angles wont work because its just not what they do. these guys are standouts skillwise and their movement course is just superior. not that fluent but far more effective. Floyd needs a full move to reach the point where hes back balanced to set a punch up while Khan&Pac throw punches directly out of their movements still they time their punches very well, deliver a lot power and that speed etc. they´ll always be a step ahead of him. If at all Floyd should rather go for Pac because it brings him more money in exchange of his zero than getting beat up by Khan. No way he beats either of them. Style make fights and Khan or Pac vs Floyd are stylistic mismatches in my opinion

It will be longer than 71, but that isnt the most accurate way of measuring reach.

The 71 is from his lightweight days . He is now wider across the back .

Armpit to end of fist is the most accurate method.

Therefore I dont know who has the longer reach.

Thank you for that lois lane.

Floyd is unstoppable , we get your point , there is no match for him in any era , any weight class.

    Floyd vs Khan is 70 / 30

    Floyd vs Manny is 50 / 50.

Ask yourself this question, and answer it from a fighters point of view. Do you think fighters want a big payday?

I'm not sure, all I know is that 71" is outdated.

    Seriously?

I hope you know that if this fight is signed you will be the first to start a thread "Do you think Khan is ready for a fight like this?".

Don't be simple minded and stupid, Khan looked extra good because his opponent was Judah. He is definitely not ready for someone like Mayweather.

Fighting once a year will catch up to Floyd. Khan is a rising star, future p4p material. At floyds open training on 7/21 Roger said ring rust and being out for one year at a time is bad for Floyd, of course it is.

We will know more about how floyd is after the ortiz fight. I am saying though from a styles perspective and from a desire perspective Khan matches up well vs floyd. IMo that is enough for Floyd to consider not taking that fight.

21.5% connect rate against Zab Judah. I don't think Floyd is concerned.
