Multi-Fight deal as well. It's a dam shame when good fighters like this end of on regional promotions. The UFC or rather Dana White is very much about double standards. http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Marquardt-Signs-with-UK-Promotion-BAMMA-34172 Embattled world-ranked middleweight Nate Marquardt has agreed to a multi-fight contract with the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts, the promotion announced on Friday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Marquardt, 32, was released by the UFC in June after he withdrew from UFC Live 4 on the eve of his scheduled main event with Rick Story at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. It was later revealed that a New Jersey State Athletic Control Board test showed elevated levels of testosterone in Marquardts system prior to his UFC 128 bout against Dan Miller in March. He attributed the test results to hormone replacement therapy but failed to follow proper protocol for such measures with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, which immediately suspended him. That penalty has since been lifted.
'Kong' has obviously pissed someone off atsch Terrible decision from Marquadt, who seems to only be good at making terrible decisions.
More like Dana is a scumbag. When fighters don't sing to his tune he all of sudden gets objective and really moral and cites his steroid abuse as a good reason for him "never" to fight in the UFC again. Ok Dana..........
Who knows. May be there was no offer on the table. May be his agent couldn't negotiate it. May be BAMMA offered him more money. Either way don't expect to see many of Nate's fights any time soon when he's on a nondescript regional promotion like that.
Bellator and dream i have watched not to many tho but BAMMA i have never watched cuz i dont know where to get a hold of that ****
Do they even televise fights from local promotions? Other then youtube clips, I don't even know where you'd start looking for their vids.
yeah a lot of them are on ppv in their respective countries, even shitty casino brawls up here in canada are on ppv.
There're not on TV over here. Pretty certain they have no TV rights at all. So other than random video's i wouldn't have a clue where you would find their fights.
The last one was on Bravo over here. Was surprised with the amount of people who had seen it actually. Thought Dream seemed to be the obvious one for Nate with him being in Japan for most of his early career.
I'm near sure it was. Could of been played the day after but I'm almost 100% sure it was live. They had watsons fight with that twat Reid live before as well.
That's very interesting i stand corrected. I thought bravo had pulled away from MMA altogether. If Bamma can get TV rights that's great for their coverage.
It was actually on Syfy. Not Bravo think your right Scurl not seen Bravo touch an MMA event in a good while.
