Ortiz just had his first decent win in a long time. He is far from being "in his prime", especially as this fight will only be his second in a new weight division.

Despite all the bs about "I was a big 140" and "This is my natural weight", its a new weight division and he has barely gotten a chance to get used to it.

I see him coming into his prime in late 2012.

Great post, it's not that you are obviously butt hurt and biased, it's that Floyd has tricked essentially every boxing analyst, writer, and knowledgable fan (except you of course) into believing this is a good fight, when he's really "cherry picking"? Thank God you were around to enlighten everyone, and to think PBF could have rematched JMM or took fight with Clottey...you know like a "real" challenge.

Lol of course it will, but JMM at 40 years old and two weight classes up is ****ing awesome, or maybe the ATG that is Josh Clottey, or even this weekend at Bernies version of Cotto Top Rank is parading around. Ortiz is a good young champion, no one is "overrating" him, he is what people say he is...a good young, strong, physically prime fighter trying to make his mark in the sport.

"Exciting Match up... Very surprised Floyd took the fight..."

"Young, big, hungry, In his prime strong welterweight..." The Odds opened at 7 to 1 for Mayweather and have not moved, And I think that reflects among the betting public you may not Like Mayweather, you may not Like the fact that he is as good as he is... But you better recognize it.

he is fighting the best of whats out there...and people still whine....i dont get it....Ortiz is in his physical prime i believe and he does look stronger at 147 to me.

Mark my words had Floyd not fought him and elected to fight any other WW besides the obvious....Ortiz would have been on his DUCKED list gurantee it!:deal

Are *****s still trying to sell this as a legit fight?:thumbsup

This is like Pac-Margarito without the paper title on the line.

As a big Floyd fan I think this is a far better fight then Pac-Margo. Margo has looked bad at 154 against "decent+" opponents.

Ortiz looked beast like vs Berto who was the next proving ground in boxing at 147.

If Mayweather beats Ortiz its far better than Pac's win over Margarito, Mosley and Clottey.

When did we forget that Ortiz could only manage a draw against Peterson, despite knocking him down?

Did you forget you didn't watch that fight?

You have to be a fool if you don't think Ortiz won that fight.
