Pure fantasy more like. Moorer was impressive but his WBO defences can hardly be compared to Spinks dominating one of the strongest LHW divisions to become undiputed champion. Then he moves up to HW and beats a top 3 ATG HW champion in Holmes.

Incase you werent aware Hattons WBU defences dont actually count . How you can rate Hattons LWW exploits higher than Spinks LHW reign is beyond me. Because Hattons WW resume vs Spinks HW resume isnt even a debate.

Was close, and you could have had it either way, but it was no robbery. I scored it 114-113 to Hatton:good

    This is my point exactly.

I'm actually gonna' apologies to Rumsfeld for calling him a 'cheerleader' in this thread; his opinion is based on likelihood of entry to the H.O.F.

Boxing Girl genuinely seems to be comparing ATG standing between to the two fighters :huh:lol:

I could be mistaken, but I always thought it was five years from when you retired.

Holmes last fought in 2002 and I believe got in for 2008.

Lewis last fought in 2003 and got in for 2009 (and I believe he retired in early 2004 after Vitali beat Kirk Johnson December 2003).

Given the fact Holmes and Lewis were both shoe-in first ballot guys, I tend t o believe it's five years from retirement.

So, in theory, if you didn't confirm you were a retired fighter then you wouldn't be eligible? Interesting :think

Chang and Danny Lopez was the sweetest of recent years :happy

Dude, you and the entire British forum got owned with FACTS on the comparisons of both fighters.....there are not far off in terms of career accomplishments. Michael Spinks IS quite overrated when you actually look at who he fought and when he fought them, and how close and controversial his biggest wins are. Both fighters were both unified champions, and two division champions. Hatton also was a 2 time light welterweight champion. In fact, I also brought up a fighter who most people would say if not a hall of famer, but you can arguably say accomplished more in his career then Spinks, and that being Michael Moorer. So anyone that says that it is not at all in the realm of a valid comparison has definitely been proven to be a moron.

Once again, just to point it out Boxing girl, it makes zero sense to compare the 175 pound careers of Moorer and Spinks:good

Yeah, personally I would say Spinks is more deserving.

But I do not think it's as wide a gap as many here are making it out to be.

At the end of the day you have to realize that Ricky is going to get in! Too much money to be made for the rinky-dink Hall of Fame to turn him down.

You've got some over-inflated ego if you think you've just owned the entire British forum with facts.

Firstly, you are not conversing with the entire British forum, just a thread on it, the British forum regulars do not operate as a single entity.

Secondly, your argument isn't fact - you've merely added facts into your argument to try and justify the unjustifiable.

    Thirdly, get ****ed.
