Did you find Arreola vs. Tomasz Adamek boring or exciting?

It wasn't a thriller, but I was thoroughly entertained. Both guys throwing and landing punches consistently, the danger of a KO looming from time to time, competitive and close on points...exciting fight IMO.

 

I found it to be a prety ugly fight to be honest. I know a lot of fanboys on this forum are head over heals in love with Adamek at heavyweight... but me personally I think he looks his absolute worst in this division. His punches aren't quite as sharp as they used to be and his balance was absolutely horrendous in that Arreola fight. He was stumbling all over the ****ing place because all the extra weight simply throws him off. The poor guy is going to get slaughtered versus Vitali.

 

he was stumbling because of broken shoes bottom fell apart.if you have watched this fight you would know this.
as for looking absolutely worst in this division i bet you are getting exited watching audley harrison....

 

It was not a bad fight.

As usual(in his fat period), Arreola was out of shape, and not up to the task against a skilled fighter. I know he tried to play this off as an injury, but I didn't hear anything about it(the "injury") in subsequent news. He was just too out of shape to keep his arms/hands up.

 

Good fight. I wouldn't say it was edge on your seat exciting, but it was far far from being boring, IMO.

I thought it was a decent enough fight, although I haven't watched it for a while. If you didn't find that exciting then I can only imagine what you've made of Haye and Wlad's heavyweight performances.

 

Must admit that was one of those more relevant fights I missed and haven't bothered to watch, might get a copy if 'exciting' wins the poll.

It was pretty good in spots,when Arreola was pressing and winning some rounds,,,But slow when Arreola fizzed out and let Adamek outland amd outhustle him. As ana arreola fan who thought he had learned his lesson , It was also very frustrating because if Arreola would have trained the way he was suppose to, he would if probably kod Adame,or at least,had enough left to not give Adamek all lthe late rounds (which cost him the decision). Even an out of shape Arreola made it a close fight
. HE hurt Adamek a few times, but was to slow afootI(being 20 to 30 lbs over weight had something to do with it).. .. . If Arreola keeps doing what hes doing, hes only gonna keep improving,, Hes already a step faster and has more stamina,,but i get the feeling hs power took a slight dip.. Hell get that back after he adjust at this weight.

 

Adamek-Arreola was like the thrilla in Manila compared to that one.

 

Only way Adamek avoids getting brutally knocked out and ruined as a HW.. Is if he puts his track shoes on... Everyone raves about Adameks chin.. Yey he had a pretty good one at LH and Cruiser.. But its average at best at HW.. Washed up Grant hurt him,and Arreola did too...Thats why his level of competiton took a nose dive after Grant, because although hes one of the top hws(hes a ko waiting to happen if he kep fighting big guys that with good or decent power)

Not trying to bash Adamek,, Because since moving to hw he has showed versatility.. At LH,Cr he showed capable boxing skills but nothing impressive and far from slick. Way more punchder than boxer..

at Hw he has become[s more boxer,good movement and ring general(for A hw).. Had to cuz i dont think he can goe toe to toe with any Contender or top Hw.. He could probably get down to CW after vitali knocks him out.. And possibly be the top dog again...







Most LH,CW who won HW titles ..

Spinks at LH- Huge puncher,Showed very good boxing skills when he had too., Boxdr/Punchr but know more as a puncher. Showed good chin too.
At Hw he knocked out a past it and mediocre chnned Cooney after using him as a punching bag, and a Eurobum Tangstaad... Event thhough he whupped Holmes the first time hit him with everythink and the kitchen sink and barely made him flinch.... Transforming to a slippery and Super slick and awkward HW is what got him his wins. Didnt bring his chin up .


Moorer- Huger bomer and monster at LH but green leaky defense and could be outboxed at times,.. His power bailed him out alot of times nad he had a killer insticnt

Hw --- Better puncher than those 2 and hit hard,but ended up showing some impressive boxing skills and good jab... After up and down wars with Cooper and Stewart,,,He dropped the aggressive bangermentality..

Im gonna do a top 30 or 40 pfp list later on and his fan boys are gonna,,,Cry about not seeing him on the list... ... IF he dropped just 20 lbs and fought Cruiserwiehgts.. He might crack my top 10 pfp.. But against HWs hes only a top contender cuz the division is very weak right know...

I have more respect for Adamek than Haye as far as heart,charachter....

But i think David Haye is a more legit and dangerous guy at Hw.. He stilll has good power and unlike Adamek he outgrew the Cruisers. He probably wins s a title after the Klit bros retire and will remain one of the top hws for a while.

Adamek probably has a great game plan that keeps him around for a few rounds but eventually Vitali is gonna walk him down and manhandle him.,and if he chooses score a brutal ko....

Hes smoother and more mobile than most Hws. but thats by default by todays sorry standards
hes no slickster like other past hws his size... He should go back down to CW or his stay as a top HW will e short.
james Toney,Michael Spinks,Chris Byrd hes not...

 

It was OK, there was some drama involved based on how poorly Adamek responded to Arreolas punches but Adamek was not really there to fight once he got popped.
