Where do you rank Khan as a Body Puncher ?

Pretty impressive this early in his career he stopped Judah to the body and before McCloskey ripped Maidana with a brutal liver shot in the first rd.

    Montiel
    Marquez
    Bute
    Rigondeaux
    Segura

Not even top 5 IMO. But those were very nice shots he caught Maidana and Judah with.

No,but he might in the top 10. He seems to really commit to those shots to the body, notice how he caught Judah with some great hooks downstairs before the stoppage.

Khan should do more body punching, didn't really go back to do the body with Maidana after the first round.

I can think of two memerable body punches that he's thrown (one was a think of beauty)... beyond that, I don't really think of him as much of a body puncher.

Evidently it's something he's worked on and I think we might see him commit more to the body going forward but to talk of him as a top 5 body puncher seems premature to me.

No but i give him credit

a guy with a big height advantage who does body punch

he doesnt give up his height he goes to the body and gets out quickly

he isnt a body punching pressure fighter who wears you down like Frazier but a guy who can stun you with a few quick ones

I think Bute may be the best he only needs one good left and it can be over

Bute is a vicious body puncher, it's the one thing he does exceptionally well.

No, maybe he could be in time though.

On the rare occasions he does go to the body, he's very effective with it. There's quite a few guys ahead of him at the moment though.

Bute, Rigondeaux and Marquez are up there. Then there are fighters like Segura and Rios who concentrate a lot more on body-work.
