I think it's unlikely but if Carl Froch manages to clearly beat Andre Ward, will Andre Ward's stock drop drastically in your opinion ?

depends how the fight plays out

A loss like the Abraham loss would be devastating. A loss like the Dirrell loss would be bad but not the end of the world.

    don't see it happening though.

I have Ward pegged as a potetial future ATG though... so yea it would very much be bad IMO

Froch schooling ward would prove that he is hyped bigger than he is currently viewed, if he ko's him then his chin probably isnt that good.

I guess his less than fan friendly style puts a lot of pressure on him to continuously win.

He would drop a little, but if he didn't show up in his next fight afterward he would drop a lot. That being said, he wins a clear but tough decision against Froch IMO.

What a nice display of skills Dirrell showed in the Froch fight...

Ward is not as explosive. He's supposed to comfortably win but if Froch can commit to an active jab and take advantage of his longer reach, we may see Ward take more chances than usual and therefore give Froch a chance to land his power shots.

It's a very close fight IMO. Froch is deceptively fast with much more power than Ward, but Ward is a better body puncher, CPer, and has better defense.

If it comes down to an outside fight, a battle of the jab, I actually gotta favor Froch beating Ward to the punch, and if Ward tries to slug it out with Carl, he get KTFO.
But if Ward plays his cards right, works the body early, and get's Froch to start chasing him then he can pull the decision.

IMO, and I might be the only one here who thinks this, but Froch should be the betting favorite in this fight, simply because he is MORE battle tested and has proven loads more heart.

Ward may not be as physically gifted as Dirrell. But he's alot faster and athletic then Froch.

And what he doesnt have in Dirrell's athleticism, he makes up for it with being much stronger mentally and physically.

Froch's only hope is that Ward's chin isnt up to snuff. Because if Kessler was able to land so much on Froch, Ward is going to have a field day.

Really a bum? It would prove to me that if you fight top competition long enough eventually you'll lose. Which is okay, and we should want because it proves that the fighters are taking on tough challenges.

In Ward vs. Froch, the winner will be the clear #1, and the loser will be the likely clear #4 behind the winner, Bute, and Kessler.

Ward and Froch are both on killer runs of opposition fought.

hes a bit overrated if u ask me. there is nothing he does that impresses. he holds, he uses his head, hes just very good what he does. he doesnt have extraordinary ability like roy jones. he just gets by on what he has
