W**r*n to pull his fights from Sky Sports?

With the certain rumours going around that Sky are doing no more pay per views until 2013 I have also heard that W**r*n may pull his fights from Sky Sports to show them on his own channel Box Nation channel 456.

If this happens is it good for Sky? Would it free them up to show other fights that are currently taken up by W*r**n shows? Like Hatton and possibly Hennessy?

Hatton has a Sky deal already, and Hennessy seems to have an in with 5/Primetime which could be bigger for him.

Can't see it being good for Sky/anyone.

Just saying. Frank sets up his own channel and Burns gets 3 more defences in rematches against Laryea, Evensen and Cook.

 

******’s the sort of guy who likes to make his fights profitable at all levels. The trick is to reduce costs – so leaving Sky does him no favours. It forces him off the most cash-rich UK broadcaster and to a place where he’d spend a fortune to get the same production values.

 

Only reason I have Sky Sports is for Boxing and the occasional footie match...If boxing leaves Sky then I will kick the sports subscription into touch and just stream sport via the internet and enjoy more boxing options for less money

If Fwank started doing indpedent PPV's etc he would need to make the shows good, at least at first to get the thing of the ground.

I'm not so sure. It seems Khans done decent figures on McCloskey and Judah(well more than SKy offer for their regular channels). Frank has seen the money and thought i want a piece of that. Its a sad state of affairs for boxing fans but it seems we're heading towards £15 for each fight card

 

Would be good to imagine ****** jumping into bed with the BBC or ITV and putting regular shows on there but having his massive ppv shows on an extra ppv only channel...having said that I can not remember the last time ****** put on a ppv worthy fight or show???

2. Would the fighters want this or would they prefer to go to someone like Matchroom and get Sky sports exposure.

I would be very surprised if this happened and if ****** thinks he can go down a PPV route for his cards then his lost it.

He has someone like Mitchell and De Gale who both suffered major defeats and need to be built up again. PPV isnt the answer for that.
