They should share the same bill when Tyson

goes for the Irish belt. Perez could face a fringe contender.

They could square off in a non title bout at the end of the year in Cork.

A Cuban versus a Manc for the Irish title. What a world!

There's been a lot of speculation of Fury fighting Rogan for the Irish title and now Fury fighting Perez. People seem to be forgetting that Coleman Barrett holds the title.. Unless I've missed something and he's vacated...?

Barrett hasn't defended in nearly 18 months.

How long can you hold the Irish title hostage for?

Try closer to 10 years. Darren Corbett was the same. Then they whinge when they are stripped.

The standing of the Irish title really has rocketed. No one used to fight for it in the 90's. Now there is hardly an Irish bill without one.

How many Irish HWs are there anyway? Can't be more than a handful then it'll be all fat joker club fighters. Celtic HWs in general are an endangered species

In fairness to Barrett there hasn't really been any opponents for him to defend against over the last 18 months. Rogan was out of the ring for a year, McBride wasn't interested in defending it when he had it, Fury had yet to prove he was eligible to fight for it and he had already beaten Kenna. Darrent Corbett is long finished and if he is seriously thinking of fighting again he should loose weight and go back to Cruiser.

Obviously the situation has changed now and you can also throw into the mix that Mike Perez is likely to be eligible to fight for it soon.

No way... Tyson would take it and beat him! I rate Chisora higher then Perez at the moment.

A 261 pounds Chisora is definitely not a better boxer than a moderately fit Mike Perez. Perez has his flaws, but he'd give Fury a lot of problems for sure.
