When people mention the greats?? The man was a monster and was unbeaten apart from 1 comeback fight after a drug addiction and lost to a no mark. Is it because ppl class him as a cheat with no proof of such ?

He is seen as great, but his career was rather short due to other issues. He does not have the longevity of the other guys his era like Hearns,Leonard and Hagler or Duran.

Think the fact that he had Panama Lewis in his corner 'n he self-destructed on drugs undercut what a great fighter he was -- a two-fisted beast.

He lived in an Era that was dominated by 4 fighters. Its hard to be mentioned when Duran, Leonard, Hearns and Hagler were battling it out.
Hell even Arguello was still relevant then.

He gets mentioned quite a bit whenever people discuss the great 140 lb fighters of all-time.
