I'd give the edge to Vitali. Vitali's defense and chin would have kept Foreman off of him long enough for him to take control. Remember, George was a fast starter and faded as the fight wore on. It's one of the few fights where Foreman wouldn't have all the advantages.

Vitali is quicker, better defense, better stamina, more punches, etc., Vitali would beat him, no doubt about it...............

I believe forman has only been stopped once, coupled with the fact that he was one of the most powerful punchers ever. having said that I can't see that fight going more than three or four round before forman ko's vitaly. basically whatever forman hits you with you went, but there are always exceptions...steps in Ali.

vitali matches up better against foreman that almost anyone, especially wlad and also including lewis

Im not sure, theyre both my favorite heavyweights. I would have to give the nod to Foreman for having the better resume but its hard to imagine vitali being stopped. His chin and the way he handles pressure well would be his key assets against foreman. Plus his chin is hard to reach. Foreman could always get him to the body though. Plus Vitali doesnt have one punch power so he would have to really wear down foreman over the stretch and not get stopped early. But if the fight goes past 6 rounds, it really plays into Vitali's favor

Would have been a great matchup..
I say Vitali would take it: Better defense, better counter puncher, more varied offense

You guys have all lost your minds. George Foreman has fought great fighters like Frazier, Ali, Norton, Chuvalo. Who has Vitali fought? Stop insulting George please. Vitali is a nobody to anyone outside of Kiev.

That there were not many good boxers around when vitali fought isnt his fault, he is clearly very good and a h2h nightmare for some atg in history, his size, chin, workrate, awkward style make that happen. Foreman in the 70's was powerfull but extremely slow vitali would tko him late if he gasses out or ud him. he just doesnt match up well vs a guy like vitali, whether you like it or not, its a styles thing.
