So on a scale of 1 - 100 where should we list it. Stop using subjective terms that are different to each person, and start using concrete examples of how great or ungreat it should be to each person. While you are at it, can you please give three other examples of something greater, and then list them on a scale of 1 - 100 too so we can see comparable how they all stack up.

on a scale from 1 to 10 it's like a 6, because of the opponent he chose and Jones ability. And the way the fight was allowed to take place with the referee being overly protective of the smaller man.

wlad's wbo title at that time didn't carry as much weight as the other belts, then he was ko'ed by sanders. a fight with byrd probably could have been made. if jones would have beat byrd, you'd probably say why didn't jones fight ruiz. lewis didn't want to fight him. he opted for retirement instead.

fitz winning the title was a great accomplishment but it was done in an era where black fighters were not allowed to fight for the title. fitz was hardly the undisputed champ when you take that into consideration. i think both accomplishments are equally impressive.

Actually I would never accuse anybody of ducking Ruiz :patsch, fighting Byrd would have been a lot better. Fighting Wladimir would have been a geat accomplishment, Sanders had his number he was a nother heavyweiht just like Klitschko that doesn't make wlad less of an opponent. Nobody cares about the belts, it's about the opponents the klitscko's gave that belt weight. Are you saying Lewis ducked Roy???

Was it a good win? Hell yes, it was, Ruiz is not a great HW but still he was a 'pretty good' one and he was much bigger and stronger than Roy Jones was but still Roy clearly beat him. And leave Jay Nady out of the equation here for not allowing Ruiz to fight dirty again - it was a boxing match and not a wrestling contest, and a ref should just do that, it's his job.

Was it a historical win? Was Roy the second MW champ in history to become the HW champ? No, Ruiz was a HW belt holder and thus Roy become no more than just a HW belt holder, not the champ.

I think we can say it was a 'very impressive feat', but not the defining point in Roys career.

What would you consider a 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9, and a 10. I want examples so in my head, I can list it correctly of great things people have done. I am not sure how to compare something just moderately great with something astoundingly great. I need examples.

no way, i said lewis opted for retirement. lewis was a great fighter. ask david haye and brit fans if they care about the belts. the belt is the reason he got the fight with wlad.
