fenech was a monster. a great fighter to watch. there was never a dull moment when jeff was in the ring.....(we will forgive his last 'effort').
:good :good:good I still find it funnny in KT's book about first meeting Fenech and how impressed he was with the ammount of Gold Jeff was rocking and how he wanted to be just like that That bling was stolen Kostya, johnny and his scumbag manager forgot to mention that :nono
speaking of buddy no 9 on this very good list i must admit i wasn't too aware of his boxing and only a little of his training before he got here with antonio I have done some surfing the web and must say that he has been very impressive as a fighter and a trainer
I remember one of Fenech's opponents saying that Fenech didn't have a KO punch....:deal Just that every punch he threw hurt..... and an opponent can only take so much of that sort of punishment. A crying shame about his hand troubles....**** knows how good he coulda been
True dat:deal Up to the Tyson era..... the majority of people knew who the champs of the heavyweight division were... Nowdays..... mostly...... non boxing followers haven't even heard of the Klitschko bros and don't give a **** who they are fighting
Fenech was a beast at super bantam weight and featherweight. I only give one man to beat Fenech at Super bantam and that is Wilfredo Gomez. At his best he had that savage blend of almost super human fitness and a tireless relentless onslaught that reminded everyone of the old timers like Harry Greb and Henry Armstrong. Fenech was probably the most bravest, never say die boxer that had ever lived.
