Broner apparently becomes mandatory challenger for Ricky Burns

If you'd have put a pound on Burns winning his 3 title defences so far, you'd have made a profit of 17 pence. And that's not because Burns is a formidable champion, it's pathetic.

If Adrien Broner ever fights Ricky Burns I'd give it 5 rounds maximum. And for the record I'd be cheering on Burns throughout and wanting him to win.

Broner....yet again another fighter coming off the back of one decent win being massively overrated on here, the man isn't a wrecking machine...Until he took on the shopworn and career super bantam Ponce de Leon he had boxed absolutely no one. I'm not saying that Broner won't win but its certainly not a foregone conclusion...If Broner does lose I can guarantee that the same people who are blowing smoke up his arse now will be the same idiots who will be first to shout "fraud", "bum" or "I always said he was overrated".

He is. Their resumes aren’t all that different excluding Broner’s Ponce win, which was unconvincing at best.

But looking at Broner’s skillset, simply examining the styles, makes this a difficult match-up for Ricky. It’s not that anyone thinks Broner’s the next Mayweather, just that he has the technical ability to cause Burns serious headaches.

And as TFFP said, Ponce would likely have flattened Ricky.

Regardless, it would still be a great fight for Burns to take - especially if it's in America. A great chance to get his name out there ready for when the big boys at feather move up.

By who? He's rated as he should be.. as an unbeaten 21 year old prospect who's stopped 17 out of 21 opponents, his last being in devastating and memorable fashion against an improving Litzau.
