If he is "ducking" him, it is not out of fear..

You have to understand, someone like Amir Khan or Miguel Cotto can afford to lose a big fight because they have a huge fan base, and their name is already established and out there.

Tim Bradley does not have that popularity or fan base, this is not due to his skill, but his lack of "flash" maybe.

If he loses to Amir Khan, his name is out of all of these conversations, the prospect of a fight with Khan, is why his name is brought up so much, and is what keeps him relevant as far as big, big money fights go. If he lost to Khan (not to say that I, or he even thinks he would), that is gone, at least for the time being until he builds up a few more good wins.

Those are my thoughts on the situation, he has taken very risky fights and always been a warrior, this is merely a business move, and in my opinion, a smart one.

    Some quotes from Timothy Bradley:

"(laughter) You better stop playing with me, ain't nobody scared of no dang Amir Khan, man. You know this boxing game is a business, man"

"Well I'm looking at doing it [the Khan fight] maybe the end of the year or probably next year. I still think the fight is too premature."

"A lot of people say it's great money. Man, at the end of the day it's still really risky. At the end of the day, let's say I lose the fight, what happens then? I'm out of the sweepstakes with Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao"

He's ducking, otherwise he would get in there and easily beat Khan then move onto bigger better things like a Pacquiao fight.

He's afraid that if he loses to Khan, he won't get a fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao.

That means he has doubts of winning against Khan.

He is not a business man, he is a boxer. If I wanted to see business men I would sit outside Goldman Sachs.

1 loss wouldn't hurt unless Khan just completely took him apart. Look at Clottey he always loses but he still got the big fights.

its a smart move for him financially, i really don't see him beating khan, and after he loses he wont get the big money fight with pac, but if he lost to manny he could still go on to fight top guys at 140 and 147 because he's still an elite fighter. a loss to khan at this point is to damaging for him.

he fully deserves to lose his belts though..... he cant complain about that.

I'm disspointed Bradley didn't fight Khan. However, it's his career. Sports fans are very fickle. You can fall in and out of their favor pretty quickly. One good win by Bradley and everyone will love him again.
