I'm not just talking robberies here, i'm talking when you've sat down scored a fight, yet the judges gave a different verdict. it can be close, wide, whatever.

I don't need rbr analysis but a scorecard would be helpful.

Today i've been tryiong to gather all ym scorecards that disagree with official results and wanted to put them out there and see what other disagreements there are.

    So here's my list:

    norton W15 ali 3 (144-141)

    marquez W12 john (114-112)
    marquez W12 norwood (116-110)
    marquez L12 pac 1 (112-113)

    De la hoya W12 Mosley 2 (115-113)
De la hoya W12 Trinidad (116-112)
De la hoya L12 Sturm (112-116)
De la hoya L12 Whittaker (113-114)

    Hopkins W12 Taylor 1 (115-113)
    Hopkins W12 Mercado (114-112)
    Hopkins W12 Pascal 1 (114-112)
    Hopkins W12 Calzaghe (115-112)

    Wright W12 Vargas (116-112)
    Wright W12 Taylor (115-113)
    Wright W12 Simon (115-113)

    Martinez W12 Cintron (117-111)
    Martinez W12 Williams 1 (115-114)

    Lara W12 Williams (117-111)

    Holyfield L12 Lewis1 (112-116)
    Holyfield W12 Valuev (115-113)
    Holyfield L12 Ruiz1 (112-116)
    Holyfield W12 Ruiz3 (115-113)

    Ruiz W12 Valuev 1 (115-113)
    Ruiz L12 Golota (115-110)

    Malignaggi W12 Diaz (116-112)

    Leonard L12 Hearns 2 (112-114)

    Froch W12 Kessler (115-113)
    Froch L12 Dirrell (112-115)

    Alexander L12 Kotelnik (113-115)
    Alexander L12 Matthyse (94-95)

    Judah L12 Matthyse (113-114)

    Holmes W15 Spinks 2 (144-141)
    Holmes W12 McCall (115-113)
    Holmes W12 Nielsen (115-113)

    Rahman W12 Tua 2 (116-112)

    Toney W12 Peter 1 (116-112)
    Toney L12 Tiberi (111-117)
    Toney W12 McCallum1 (115-113)

    Tarver W12 Johnson 1 (115-113)

    Reid W12 Ottke (115-114)

    Morales W12 D.Diaz (114-113)
    Morales W12 Maidana (115-113)

    Whittaker W12 Ramirez 1 (117-111)
    Whittaker W12 Chavez (117-111)

    Patterson W8 Maxim (78-74)

some of these are quite old scorecards so there could be the odd typo but i'm confident i have all the winners correct as i had them originally.

There could be a couple of fights I've not been able to track down but this is what I have so far.

So what fights have you scored differently than the judges in terms of the victor? Or are there any old fights were you are confident from reading reports that the wrong man won?

    ......

Fights not available to watch but research has led me to believe the result was wrong.

    Hopkins draw mitchell

    Flowers points walker

    Langford points walcott

    Schmelling points sharkey

    Fitzsimmons ko sharkey.

There were some prety bad ones back in the day.

Fightrs like Joe Walcott (welter) and Joe Choynski, somtimes had to sign contracts where they lost automaticaly ,if the fight went the distance!

On that basis Tex cob would have beaten Larry Holmes!

nice thread! and agree on most of your scores (save for hopkins v taylor 1). and from most reports, walker clearly lost to flowers

yes micky walker and tiger flowers, i've seen a couple of reports but wasn't sure if it was enough to conclude the wrong man won.

i know PP has brought it up a few times though.

Leonard-Hagler. I have scored it for Hagler 115-113 every time I watched it.

Lara-Williams. I scored it 117-111 in favor of Lara.

Martinez-Cintron. I don't remember my score, but it was a clear win for Martinez in which he actually knocked out Cintron (Kermit was counted out) then for whatever reason the fight went on and Sergio continued to beat Cintron. When the scores were announced and it was a draw I was amazed. I was amazed the Sergio Martinez knocked out Kermit Cintron and got a draw.

I'm sure i had hagler leonard 4-4-2 it was actually the first fight i ever sat down and scored so my understanding back then was a little shaky!

yeah martinez dominated cintron, the ref eventually ruled it was a 9 count, disgraceful going ons in that fight!

one judge scored it a draw

    http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Bernard_Hopkins_vs._Clinton_Mitchell

man it's hard diggin this stuff back up. i should have saved the stuff i found first time round.

from what i could gather the footage is very rare but those who've seen it say that hopkins was quite lethargic and there was nothing in the fight, but the other guy looked strong.

I believe that Hagler won that fight too...at the very worst it was a draw, but that's stretching credibility too much to give Leonard too much credit for those powerless showshine flurries and not enough weight for his more effective punches in close.

ODLH vs Sturm was not a close fight but rather a clear robbery as was Whitaker vs Chavez
