The big difference between Wladimir and Ali and Holmes.

Is how many out of shape fighters both K-brothers have fought.

Generally speaking most people round up to the higher number if it's .5 or higher so that's where you get people saying Wlad's 6'6" & Vitali is 6'7" more than likely. It doesn't mean **** though, height is useless without skills, stamina, heart, mind & God given power & agility.

You Wlad fans keep saying stuff like, "There are other fighters just as big as him but they don't have the success Wlad has." And no one is arguing otherwise. But what i'm saying is that when you have two evenly matched fighters in terms of skill, (i.e. the "elite" of the HW division) and one guy is 5 inches taller and outweighs you by 30-40 lbs, that is a HUGE factor. Factors i can't ignore or take lightly. In that case, 99% of the time, the fight was over before it began.

This thread is about actual listed heights & weights. How many of Wlad's opponents have been 5 inches shorter? Not many at all..............

He's not blaming anyone. It's just an irrefutable fact.

As for the question of whether Wlad has an unfair advantage, the answer is "no". This is the heavyweight division and there are no limits. An unfair weight advantage in boxing, is a guy who will drain himself before a weigh in and add 20lbs before the fight, whereas his opponent adds nothing. That's unfair morally but isn't against the rules either.

Size is only part of the issue though. Wlad's main advantage is that he's simply better than everyone else. His brother is a distant second and who is the third best of this era? A pitiful fighter, whoever you choose. If Wlad was 6'2", he'd still be the best in the world but he'd just be beating guys in a different manner. The fact he fights tall and wins, gives the impression he uses his size to win fights but in reality, he has a lot of skills that go unnoticed by the average fan and that's what makes him stand out.

Really though, Wlad only has two weaknesses. One, his chin. That will always be his downfall and he will be knocked out in the future, probably by someone nobody near as technically skilled as Wlad is. Secondly, he doesn't have a fighters heart but, luckily for him, that is rarely questioned.

Size is just part of the reason Wlad is dominant. It's a big reason that Vitali is, yes, but Wlad does not rely on his size to win. He's big but he's also very skilled, and it's those skills which set him apart.

To be honest no one really knows WALD's true height as he is always stepping out in a Cuban heel, as Gene Tunney used to do.

Ok, here are hard facts. And this was even shocking to me! Ali averaged 224.4lb over the whole of his career, while his opponents only averaged 204.5lb.
Now Wladimir has averaged 236.3lb while his opponents have been 224.1lb. And both had the same 3" hight Advantage........Giving Wladimir only a 12.2lb weight Advantage while Ali had a 19.9lb weight advantage over his opponents.........

Yes height and reach is an advantage nobody is denying that.

If Wlad fought an identically skilled fighter who was 6'1 and 210lbs he would probably win, however if Wlad was 5 inches smaller and 35lbs lighter he would most likely be quicker with better in-fighting so it's a moot point really.

You can't take away a fighters attribute and then compare him to others fighters.

Ali wouldn't have been so great without his speed advantage.
Tyson wouldn't have been so great with out quick explosive punching ability.

Pacquiao would be heavyweight champion if he were 1 foot taller and 100lbs heavier.

Funny thing, if you do the math in terms of a % ratio, the size difference becomes even more advantageous in Ali's favor.

Plenty of misinformation and inaccurate stats. Not surprising considering the OP.
