Shumenov kind of impressed me taking tough challenges early going right for the belt being a bull in the ring but he reminds me of povetkin early tough opponents gets big and then takes lesser opposition
Santiago is a a weak title challenger, even with 4 belts around Santiago hasn't earned a shot. Shumenov's last two title defenses consist of Santiago and a 40 year old, shot William Joppy. I know the Joppy defense was short notice because Brahmer pulled out, but after beating up someone like Joppy he really should have faced someone better this time than Santiago.
The fact that Erdei even fought him in the first place is an embarrassment. What makes it worse is he fought Danny Santiago then George Blades then Tito Mendoza then DeAndrey Abron in a row........ that is ****ING DISGRACEFUL from someone calling themself a "world champion". Erdei's whole resume is a joke really. Make Felix Strum's resume look like Ray Robinson's.
Santiago is considered not a good prospect, but a great prospect and has had a few ups and downs. Any time hes at the weight limit he is dangerous, said Chargin adding that Santiago arrived in Las Vegas weighing 179 a few days ago. I know hes in good shape. Its going to take a tough guy to beat Shumenov. :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
A prospect that is 38 years old has been KO'd in all 4 of his loses and his best win of his 31 wins and 14 year career is Elvir Muriqi which it amazes me that he even beat someone of Muriqi's level.:rofl
WBA light heavyweight champion Beibut Shumenov (12-1, 8 KOs) stopped Danny Santiago (31-5, 19 KOs) in round nine on Friday night at South Point Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. A barrage of punches prompted referee Tony Weeks to stop This content is protected . This content is protected
Yet for some unknown reason, people still voted wbo as the worst. I sometimes seriously doubt the intelligence of esb posters.
It's a joke and people should not pay attention to anything other than rankings made by the boxing community who do not have reason to rank other than for doing it right and with integrity. It seems like Shumanev's people took care of those who seem to have their hand out (WBA). Luckily for boxing it will always come to the same ending; the fraud will be destroyed when he meets the real champs of his division.
