Anyway, to the topic, I think it has more to do with Khan's handlers and the powers that be, than Khan himself wanting the fight. He obviously had high hopes of fighting Timid Bradley, but with that opportunity gone down the drain, they're settling for the next opportunity that will allow them that WBC belt.

Let's just pray and hope Morales loses, thus eliminating the opportunity for them to feast on him. Honestly, Khan's advisors really should warn him of the consequences of beating on a faded legend. He's just started to win over even his most stern critics since that Judah win, and I'm worried it will all have been for nothing if he pulls this move. But unfortunately, considering the money and hype it'll generate, as well as it being a relatively safe fight, I doubt they're concerned about upsetting a few fans.

A shame.

Its also been annoying me that this fight could go ahead. Ive always been a fan of Morales but a good performance against Maidana and its seen as a good fight? Khan v Morales?

 

So if he wins the WBC title in September does that mean he is not aloud to fight him? I swear people are trying to find excuses for Khans victories.

 

FFS people need to stop talking about Morales as if he's a ******ed child. If he beats Barrios then there should be no reason why Khan should not fight him because it would be a unification fight at the end of the day.

 

I got a lot of love for Erik, and your avatar is awesome, but the only reason he is getting this WBC shot, is because Khan's handlers are wanting him as an opponent next to provide an easy, and profitable, chance to pick up another strap.

I agree that if Morales is the WBC champ it legitimises the fight. Khan can't help who the champs are in his quest to unify.

Khan still shouldnt get too much credit for the victory though.

 

The problem that people have, is that the WBC belt is being steered into Morales' hands so that Khan can legitimize a fight with him. It's a relatively easy, profitable, and convenient way for Khan to unify the belts. Granted, it's not his fault that Timid Bradley ****ed everything up, but still, feasting on a faded legend is not good.

if morales picks up the wbc belt, the fight has to happen, and worse than that we'll all get caught up in the hype and a few months from now you'dd do a thread saying

i think the problem is one step before that, it's the fact that barrios is challenging.

morales (imo beating maidana) has proven to be effective, he should be facing a legit opponent for the belt like matthyse, bradley etc.
