    When he retires and the guys who he beat start taking over the HW division, his record is going to appear a lot better. You can only judge a fighter's career correctly a few years after their retirement when you can have some perspective, unfortunately there are many idiots who don't understand such a thing :yep

    Hahaha, of course it will. Holyfield has pathetic losses in his prime, but apparently they get overlooked because he's american, while haters still have to bring up Sanders and Purrity 10 years later because that's the only straw they still have against Wlad :deal

    :lol::rofl

    Seriously though, a few more dominate defenses with more Austin, Brock, Thompson & Chambers style KO's and if he adds the WBC belt to his collection I can't see any serious boxing fan ranking him less than 5-10 on the ATG HW list. It's incredibly hard to unify and maintain mandatory defenses for so many belts with the politics of boxing nowadays.

    to be ranked higher than holyfield or frazier he needs to continue winning for another couple of years.

    to overtake foreman, well how do you beat a guy who had 2 careers? i'd say if wlad hits 8 year mark and is still kicking ass, he enters the upper echelons.

    I don't understand why people rate Foreman's "2nd career" at all. He beat former LHW Moorer with a single punch (after getting beat up for 10 or so rounds), lost to Schulz and then ducked an IBF mandated rematch, eeked out a SD against Savarese and then lost to Briggs.

    Foreman probably lost close to 65-70% of the rounds fought in the last leg of his career. Quite unimpressive.

    :patsch:patsch

    come off it man, consider the guys age! and consider that it was actually the heavyweight champ of the world he knocked out.

    after beating moorer he vanished into oblivion but until that point he'd still achieved more than a lot of boxers will in that second career alone!

    Yep there simply isn't the opposition available to Wlad to get career defining fights that will add to his legacy. Haye was the closest thing Wlad has had to a career defining fight and he failed to show his dominance in a manner befitting a truly great champion. Wlad's win over Haye can't compare to say Frazier beating Ali or Holyfield beating Tyson, it's more on the level of Tyson beating spinks, Frazier beating Foster or Marciano beating Moore.

    But there have been other great champions who have dominated in weak eras like Holmes and Louis. Wlad is top 20 for me at the moment but to break the top ten he will have to have a very long reign over this weak division and perhaps beat the number of successful consecutive defences of Holmes or even Louis. That for me could get him into the top 10 though not the top 5 those 3 early losses really tarnish his legacy.

    That only shows what a **** poor era that was. A natural LHW as the HW champion, a joke :rofl

    An important step could also be beating someone who beats Vitali.

    For example, if Adamek beats Vitali, then Wlad-Adamek would be huge. And it could be a big win for Wladimir.

    I'm trying to see who else is great in lower divisions and could be a Wlad opponent. I can only think of Haye (great cruiserweight), but Wlad already beat him. Also about Hopkins, but he's too old and Wlad-Hopkins would be seen as a joke.

    if you believe that the moorer who beat holyfield could still make lhw then that's upto you.

    moorer wasn't overly smaller than charles, marciano, walcott, patterson and other heavyweight greats.
