Formula1 is now going to Sky. Whats the impact on boxing?

i know but IMO it sucks ass, i used to like it when i was younger but its only worth tuning in for the last 3 laps too repetive.

 

Clearly you haven't watched it in a few years. Lots of overtaking and action these past few years. Last year was probably the greatest season of all time, but dont let that change your mind. Just cars going round and round in circles doing the same thing.

Racing's a truly international sport with the sort of salaries and lifestyle boxing can only dream of. I find it boring, but millions say I'm wrong. And at least it's still on terrestrial TV!

 

Yep, F1 is boring but massively popular.

Don't get me wrong, hamilton getting more credit for his win at the weekdn over Cavendish winning the green jersey made me feel sick to my stomach....but it had to be expected.

if people dont like it mate you cant change them.....ive been watching since about 89/90 and i love it.....yeah last season was a belter, this season has been decent so far also imo, i think the tyres have made it more of a race.

 

you love it i dont, to me thats all it is cars going round a track i dont care for it.
or any other forms of motoracing i used to go to alot of MR events too times have changed :conf

I can't understand why people feel the need to tell others that they find F1 boring... Do you? Wow, I'm really going to stop watching it now. atsch

 

I'm not trying to change them.

It just annoys me when people who dont watch it or give it a chance come onto a thread about it and in their first post say something like 'who watches F1 anyway' or ' F1 is shite', what the **** is the point in that sort of post?

If I see a thread about cricket or american football, i dont click onto it and say 'cricket is boring' or 'american football is crap', I dont watch the sport, never really have given it a chance and therefore i'm not going to comment because I'll look like a tool..

 

the only way this will effect Sky's boxing coverage is that when there is a race on at 3am in the monring (Australia, Malaysia etc) they won't want any other big live sport on at the same time.

so if theres a smaller US fight we defo wouldnt get it.

 

F1 is so ****. Only so many times watching cars go round and round and round can be interesting.

 

i dont see why people get on their high horse becuase someone voices their opinion its a thread about how the coverage may affect boxing so obviously its gonna provoke my kind of response

wasnt saying you were trying to change them into watching it mate, more along the lines of people get set in their ways and like you say wont give it a chance....

i ride trial bikes, i used to ride moto x but its gets boring just lashing it here an back and doing a jump etc not very exiting after ten mins, id rather try and get up some steep bank with rocks everywhere, and trialing is more social you can hear what everyone is saying etc.....

id love a go of an f1 car!

 

F1 is okay, it was better for all the new rule changes, can't even refuel during the race.
