Why is ortiz suddenly a beast and actually a threat to mayweather??

of course I am. everyone knows prime for prime floyd whups ortiz, that isn't even in question is it?

but considering age and inactivity i'm hoping for a beautiful clash of styles.

i hope ortiz beats floyd cos i love a good underdog story.

look at the ww division man, it's crap now. in a years time it will have alexander, bradley and khan up there but right now after pac and ortiz who is there? senchenko? zavek? brook? jones? berto? this division is literally weak as ****.

that means that aside from pac, ortiz is the most legitimate opponent at the division.

Wasn't it the other way round. People were hyping mosley as the true WW champ, and mayweather is ducking him, even after the Marquez fight people said mayweather don't want none of mosley, then when berto pulled out and mayweather stepped in, we heard a different story.

Those who are expecting Floyd to have slowed down, are in for a surprise, again. This 'young, hungry lion' is no threat to Floyd, what so ever.

is he a bigger puncher than mosley though? if floyd survived a couple of mosley bombs, then the only chance ortiz have of winning the fight is done. i usually believe that anything can happen in boxing but on this case, ortiz has actually a very low to no chance of winning at all. yep i forgot that if floyd suddenly aged overnight which also has a very low chance of happening.

Ortiz would've been fine for active fighter. Joke fight for Floyd's caliber.

And pressure fighter? Made for Floyd.

I think this is a great fight. also surprised may took it but then it seems hes finally caving into the pac fight and would need to be someone like ortiz if hes gonna beat pac anyway. ortiz has everything, power, speed, determination, southpaw, active. good fight. floyd should win but good fight

Hes the best Welterweight in the world not called Floyd or Manny and as such is a very legitimate opponent.

Since the Maidana fight hes fought good fighters, and the Berto fight showed that he was no quitter.

    I still think Floyd wins.

this is true, but if he had stepped by mosley at that point all hell would have broken loose, since he was the only good welter available at that point.
Its obviously one of his best wins

he may be a SUPER NOVAAAA but this fight is another example of Floyd's amazing ability to capitalize on hype.

yea fair point but as for praising floyd,he just sees it as an easy payday when he should be fighting pac.

well if we assume he aint ever fighting pac, then ortiz is the best choice for him right? considering his age and inactivity there are easier fights he could have had.

maybe you just rate floyd higher than me, i dunno.

yeah khan - brook would be good!

the difference between mosley and ortiz is that ortiz will have youth on his side and will be able to follow up if he lands a good shot, while mosley just kind of stopped after he hit mayweather
