Jose Napoles vs Wilfred Benitez

Napoles had a little too much "firepower" for Wilfred.

Yep, in a nutshell. Napoles totally. I think Wilfred would fight to survive in this one, honestly.

 

Napoles would stop Benitez by round 10...as great as Benitez was..and it would have been a fairly sudden ending.

 

Could go either way. Benitez was always better when challenging for a title. If this scenario applies,then he'd win on a fairly close points decision. If Benitez is defending,then Napoles pulls it out.

A very good display of boxing by both men.

 

AREA53 put it perfectly in another of these threads. Benitez had the radar, but Napoles had the stealth.

 

Napoles had enough skills to beat the great Benitez......would be a very skillful fight....

Yes..he could wear a guy down and chop him up lie dog meat (Cokes, Pruitt) or finish you off with one shot (Lopez II)..I think he would have caught and hurt El Radar and finished him off for a ko.

 

Benitez went the distance with Hearns and Duran and 14 rounds with Leonard so the guy could take a shot and anyone who fights those three has HEART! Also Benitez has underrated power, if he gets to Napoles fragile skin he could win on a cuts stoppage. If Billy Backus could do it Benitez could.

 

Napoles by wide decison knocking Benitez down a couple of times along the way, Benitez best bet was to cut Napoles and hope for a cuts stoppage other than that i dont see him having a shot against Mantequilla.

 

Both mega talented. I've a gut feeling for Napoles. He'd outwork Benitez in a very tactical fight.
