Macklin knows he gave it his best shot and it wasn't enough.

On the recent Five Live show we had news of a Macklin alternative...Martinez, NYC, more money, easier option clauses...

    Adios.

Macklin has a chance against Sturm because of Felix’s style and age. He has no chance against Martinez – he lacks the movement and speed to do anything against Sergio.

The majority of people would disagree with that.

I'm not sure he can dominate the fight again any better than he already did.

Maybe not, but if he did the same again and improved his defence I reckon that would do it.

It was Sturms ease to hit Macklin with clean / hard punches that made it look like he could almost just do it whenever he wanted.

Probably wont get another chance of a good payday if he loses. Difficult to weigh up if he`s being offered more money elsewhere with easier option clauses. Perhaps he should ask if he can put Felix on hold until after the Martinez fight.

If Macklin trully beleived the could beat Sturm surley he would win that title then he can unify with Martinez in a mega fight??
