Honestly alot of people in that Gym Maca Foley (trainer) and Roach (Trainer) said the same thing, they said that James at his best could beat Tyson... I didnt agree with it but thats what they said, and Roach has trained Tyson...
Actually, Tyson had the sort of style Toney loved. He really only struggled with runners, i.e. Roy Jones. Tyson/Toney woulda been awesome, actually. I'd love to see the dude at 1:48 shut up and get in and spar with James. As an aside, yeah he's showing his age and the number of fights he's had in this vid, but the fact is there NO fighters like James Toney anymore. Last of a certain breed that descended from the fighting mentality of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Fight anyone, fight often, and fight fearless. A true boxer.
Tyson would've kicked Toney's ass, much faster, better stamina, and better defensively, I don't see 03 Toney beating an 88 Tyson.
