    Round 7

Cayo pops his shoulders and waves his fists, playing watch the birdie. It pays off; big uppercut. Cayo lands a jab and misses the second when doubling it up as Peterson adjusts and slips it, but catches Peterson pulling straight back with a grazing right hand. Lots of left hooks and scooping rights to the body by Cayo while grinding himself against Peterson. Both trading uppercuts. Nice stuff here. Peterson is physically shoving Cayo across the ring and into the ropes landing uppercuts but eating a few. Particularly hard uppercut by Cayo. Two quick ones by Peterson. Right hand by Cayo. Right hand by Peterson. Cayo is pushed to the ropes and lands a good left hook as Peterson comes in. Cayo is caught with a big counter and again stunned. Big flurry by Cayo. Left hook by Cayo while jumping back.

    67-66 Peterson

Doesn't make it hard to do. Its something you are taught as kids soon as you step into a gym to make sure you exhale as you punch.

yeah but he can't pull it off against a guy like Peterson. His corner should tell him to keep his hands up.

Those guys are at least more experienced and have some power to back up their skills, Cayo is good but is getting caught a bit because of his low guard

Are you the same guy who said you thought Foreman was outboxing Cotto before the knee gave out?

Well, in a pretty well-matched, thoroughly competitive fight, abandoning his style on a dime is a great idea. I agree. :blood

If Peterson had single knockout power at 140, he would be more of a threat to the bigger guys.

    Round 8

Cayo leads with and lands a hook and then jabs off of it, which you don't often see. Cayo working that left hand in doubles every time he comes in. Two hooks, two jabs, one of each in either order. Peterson is whipping out low Gogo Yubari body shots. Right hand by Cayo coming in, but gets backed out by a hard counter from Peterson. Both guys landing big shots. Cayo seizes and pushes Peterson back by the arms and then scrapes him across the jaw with a right hand. Peterson spins him to the ropes and wails away with short barking power combos. Cayo comes wading in with an array of overhand shots, and Peterson just slowlly backs up with his arms raised in front of him.

    77-75 Peterson
