    Thanks for the dictionary definition of unifying. Yes it is 2 things coming together. I guess Wlad doesn't need to beat the best in the world, to claim the historically most legitimate piece of the unification puzzle. We can safely call him heavyweight champion. I mean he'd probably beat Vitaly

    Even if Wlad was not champ he could be rated against others as good great poor. Sam Langford was rated #8 all-time by nat fleischer RING mag. It is regarded as a authority ,although it was done in 1959. Tom & mike gibbons never champs rated in LH&middle,Dixie Kid rated #5 welter,also Harry &Willie Lewis rated top 10 welters.:bbb

    How is this trolling? He is not heavyweight champion of the world, because he cannot fight his brother. What's not to understand. Whether that's a legitimate excuse or not, the fact is, he cannot fight the only major player in the division other than himself. HOW CAN HE BE CALLED THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. HE CAN'T EVEN CALL HIMSELF CHAMPION OF HIS FAMILY.

    For the record, I think he'd beat Vitaly.

    Was Foremans son a major belt holder and the only other guy in the division worth a damn?

    The Klitschko's dual excellence has raised this interesting conundrum where they cannot name themselves heavyweight champ, they both hold belts, and they cannot fight each other.

    Only a small minority don't believe he's champion so the whole point is moot anyways.

    Holmes never unified, he got his claim by beating a retired man riddled with parkinson's. Many different ways to establish a new lineage.
