Why do we get so many stupid comments like Tyson would have KO wlad in 1 or prime RJJ would have KO calzaghe in 2 and so on and on. This relates to all past greats not just the two i mentioned. People seem to only remeber their very best moments and make it sound like this was how they were 100% of the time. The average nights or bad nights are completly forgotten and people seem to gain a very unrealistic view of how they actually were.
Is it pure bias or plain old nostalgia or stupidity or a mix?

Tyson is the most intimidating boxer ever, and Wlad is known to panic when he faces genuine adversity. Seriously, how could Mike NOT win in the 1st?

Nostalgia is a *****, but there's NO DOUBT Wlad's China would have been brutally shattered by 80's Tyson and Prime RJJ would have beaten 7 bells of **** out of Calzaghe.

Tyson in 86-88 is one of the fiercest heavyweights in history. 10 years later he was one of the fiercest heavyweights in history.

Wlad is great, but stylistically he is a lamb to the slaughter put in against frazier or tyson.

Rjj outclassed prime versions of hopkins and toney. His resume might not do his skill justice but h2h at 168 only a handful throughout history would beat him.

Less or more, I agree. Nostalgia is a big problem for many on here, but both Tyson and Jones should be seriously favoured in these two match ups.

Favoured is understandable but come on when in Calzaghes career for example did he ever show signs of being KO in 1 or 2 rounds by anyone. Its that type of statement i mean. Was calzaghe really worse than every fighter that went the distance with RJJ?

I dont know man, I could see a scenario where frazier gets inside on wlad, wlad has no inside skills, he could get a left hook to the chin.

i dont think anyone in history beats a prime jones.
Agreed on tyson but i dont think frazier takes out wlad if wlad lets the right hand go,tyson had phenomenal head movement and footspeed which ppl tend to over look when judging just how good peak tyson was.frazier was a bobber and weaver but could be timed coming in

When he faced a shot to pieces RJJ, RJJ was just that good in his prime, the people that went the distance did so because they fought defensive fights and went into survival mode for the most part and sometimes he toyed with them. The way he decimated top contenders was freakish though.

You could ask the question 'when did anyone look like stopping Virgil Hill, Malinga or Montel Griffin'? Roy was the first to stop them and blew them out the water

He never looked anywhere close to being KO vs shor RJJ and just because others where swept aside so easy does not mean everyone would be, using this logic are we to think RJJ ko Ward in 1 and Dirrell and Froch ect ect
