Roy Jones: As a boy, my hero.

Joe Louis: The best punching technique I have ever seen. Just...wow.

Alexis Arguello: As above. This man was a true gentleman boxer-puncher. So much heart.

Roberto Duran: The most complete fighter I've ever seen. The best.

Harry Greb: Ive never seen him fight, so you can imagine how much of an effect Reading about this mans career has had on me. As hard to fathom as the inception of the Universe itself.

George Foreman: I've always loved the aura of this beast, since hearing of his reputation on documentaries as a kid and whatnot. Flawed for sure, but truly one of the monsterous freaks of the fight game.

Ezzard Charles: I mean WTF was this guy up to?!? An absolute fighting machine, to watch him is sheer joy and amazement, and his ring record intimidating.

Jung Koo Chang: Pretty much perfect. A force of nature, and the greatest fighter below Flyweight of all time, bar none. On his best day, unbeatable. First watching him I felt he was like an anime superhero  This kid literally took the ****, and was as inherantly fierce a fighter as there has ever been.

Matthew Saad Muhammad: One of the gutsiest fighters I've ever witnessed. Took part in my favourite fight of all time, with another fighter I admire in John Conteh. Massive puncher, iron chin, ducked nobody, was THE MAN in arguably the deepest era for arguably THE greatest division of all time. A jaw-dropping fighter.

Kid Gavilan: I've always been impressed by the boxing master that was The Cuban Hawk. First thing I immediately noticed was that he was a spiteful puncher and his K.O% did not match his actual ability to hurt people. Against Gil Tirner and Johnny Bratton he blew my mind. A scary looking ****er when snarling or smiling, he could bamboozle on the back foot, box off the jab, or slip at mid-range, whipping in looping shots and coming in close to fire off the most brutal of combinations. Class.

He was so naturally talented he did have his off nights when he'd been partying too much. For example, the 2nd German Torres fight, probably te worst I've ever seen him. In the 1st and 3rd he's sublime.

    First fight

One of his best fights is against Tokashiki IMO. It's on the tube, but in bad quality. Really is worth persevering with. Tokashiki was the best light fly in Teiken gym after Gushiken retired. Great fight with Chang showing how innovative he was, the way he forces his aggression on the Jap is insane!

First round is great, in particular the exchange from 2:30 to 2:41

WATCH THIS!!! From 1:00 to 1:45; unbelievable offence, the deftest of head movements, mixes shots to head and body, and then, when he needs a respite, Chang had the ability to find himself time. He was as crafty as he was wild, as elusive as he was aggressive.

Obviously, the first Zapata fight. He clearly won the fight IMO. The closest you'll ever see to Duran Vs Sweet Pea, both guys are quality and Chang, not even 20 and having only boxed for a few years, is awesome. In the 2nd he doesn't really have a chance to get going before the ATG light fly Zapata decides to opt out rather than go through it all again.

    2nd fight
    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRtjyIMbxeA[/ame]

Former title holder Alfonso Lopez gets squashed in one of Changs early fights (yep he was fighting quality opposition with nothing but natural ability) is a good example of his early destructive best. First Chitalada fight, to see him beat another ATG lower weight fighter. The 2nd to see how Sot progressed.

Chang is aged 18. Took up boxing when he was nearly 17. Was just a hoodlum beforehand.

    First defence: he's a savage
    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkB7X7RY5-0&feature=related[/ame]

Even after his first 'retirement' he was still in some exciting fights. He's winning against lower weight super puncher Kittikasem (durability was always his prroblem) before getting stopped in the last round in his final fight (also on the tube)

This is his 2nd fight with Ohashi, which is a lot of fun.
