    yeah mate, pretty much that Bugner lost to better fighters than Bruno lost to!!!!

    Outside of LL and Fitz I wouldn't really want to argue the toss over that list!!:good

    Was Bugner ever in the fights though or did he just lose a landslide points decision.I dont know that much about his title fights only that he lost them.Bruno was matching Lewis(at least)he hurt tyson in the first one,gave Witherspoon a decent fight and beat MCcall.The only time he really got a one sided pasting was Tyson 2.
    Im not saying Bugner was worse cos as I said I dont know that much about the guy just that Frank has a good case to be higher(maybe)

    Frank also lost to Smith who did go on to be WBA champ,and he was winning.

    Not really but I didn't think that was any worse than Bruno getting stopped by Lewis, Tyson and Spoon.

    Bugner also had some OK "b" level results. Beat Jimmy Ellis, Mac Foster. narrow loss to Lyle....

    Like I say mate, we're down to numbers 6 and 7 and having to give credit for a fighter losing. That was my original point.

    Ive heard people say Bugner was decent,he is just one of those guys Ive never looked into.I did not know he beat Ellis.I like Frank but I suppose when you look at it he did always end up getting the towel chucked in when it mattered.
    The MCcall fight aside it is hard to think of a really good win for Frank.I remember him doing Gerry Cootzee in a round and I might be wrong but I think he beat Piere Cootzee as well.Both guys were a bit past it but still decent(and I might be wrong on Piere)but still not beating a top 10 young fighter .I do remember him beating an old Bugner and my dad saying"Bugner would have beat him in his prime"

    Think I got confused way back on this thread and missed the point some time ago.Pick a Brit is hard as you say cos its usually about who they lost to and how at HW.

    does tom sharkey make that top ten? by that i mean how does he qualify? you are right though it makes depressing reading, but like somebody said it will be interesting to see how price and fury do, and i still chisora could do something if he feels like it.

    haha you're right its brick hard and depressing! might get frank bruno a bit higher on the list but not much, and apart from that pretty similar to yours tbf, why does britain have a big hole where heavyweight talents are concerned? atm we have one or two decent prospects but its too early to say yet if they'll make it
