He gets props anyways. He's already achieved more than 99% of boxers throughout history.

But considering the potential he displayed 13 years ago at sfw, would you say that potential would be realised under this scenario?

Why is everyone holding Martinez at such a high level he's only beaten a defensely Paul Williams what other name does he have on his resume lets give this guy a chance to prove himself before putting him on the same level as Pac and Floyd.

Depends on how convincingly he beats them. If, for example, those opponents don't even win more than 4 rounds combined, then no Floyd would not have reached his full potential, because no one would be left who could really take him to the limit of his skills.

EDIT: Actually if he did that, I suppose he could theoretically move up to MW and try to clean it out.

this. The name isn't as important as when and how you beat them. He should have fought Pac a couple years ago when Pac was at his peak. Ortiz / Khan are inexperienced at this point and don't do much for eitehr guys resume. Floyd should have fought a younger Mosley and a prime Cotto, and Margarito. It's too late for that.

How does Ortiz and Khan do nothing for Floyd's resume? Once you get to a certain level you are suppose to give young and upcoming fighters a shot at greatness. The truly great fighters all have done it.

Pacquiao would be a very big win. Khan and Ortiz wouldn't. Neither of them are very good.

Regardless, Floyd will go down as a great fighter.

yes he would pretty much. Maybe he could have fought Cotto or Margarito just to fill some of the intervening years with some risky opposition.

What does dropping the testing demand have to do with anything?

Still say martinez is the guy to beat him. But only if they fight within the next year. Sergio is getting old. Maybe khan in a year or two. As much as I like pac I don't see him winning.

Is Floyd at his peak..no.. stop tryin to make it seem like Pac lost so damn much. You have already stated several times Floyd doesnt fight like he used to so he has lost something too.

I hate when people form bullshyt pre-excuses....

He couldnt get a younger Mosley...Mosley wasnt wit it

He couldnt get 140 Cotto(too green) or 147 Cotto(never any attempts by Arum, gee i wonder why)

Margo probaly the one that could have happen....im not even going to say how obvious who wins this fight...but ill say this..this win would have done fukk all for him....besides Cotto what the hell has margo gone on to do????? NOTHING....Besides Cotto his best wins were Clottey and Cintron.....two WW's who themselves have done fukk all....ontop of that he has the plaster asterisk by his name.

Margo would have done shyt for his resume just another Baldo in terms of Name....hell skillwise...Margo is marginaly better.

If he beats those 3 HE IS THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED.

If He beats Martinez, we might as well stop watching boxing, because we know no one better will ever come along and it will all pale in comparison.
