Its all been said too many belt's, robberies, constant **** undercards, the best fights not being made, terrible refs like Cortez, Kermit Cintron etc.
*******s flamos calzaghe 'haters' calzaghe 'lovers' fans who don't know **** about boxing but criticise your knowledge on the sport
People who are fans of individual boxers more than being fans of the sport as a whole Alphabet Organisations & BS belts (diamond, silver, interim etc) Poor Judging Big fights that don't get made BS fights that do get made (often) Promotional rivalries Bad undercards The lack of mainstream exposure the sport gets generally The "1 loss means you're over the hill" attitude that many fans have Bad refereeing Talented fighters who don't take their training seriously enough so never achieve what they should
Casual fans that think boxing NEEDS Mayweather-emmanuel to survive instead of enjoying all the other great fights. Boxing is alive and thriving. 2011 has been a great year and will continue to be so.
People who claim to follow the sport yet only care about 1 or 2 fighters. They have little to no knowledge of boxing yet think because they like whoever they're a fan. Inactivity of fighters. Guys need to actually fight if they want to gain that "mainstream recognition" they always talk about. It's ridiculous that guys sit around and fight twice a year because "omg HBO won't pay me until November and it's May right now". Ever thought of trying to get a fight on CBS/ABC/NBC for less money now but big recognition in the future? It seems the culture of the sport is "once I have a decent HBO fight, I only need to fight when HBO accomodates me". Promoters who only give a **** about a few decent paydays. They pad a guys record to get him on HBO despite the fact that all of 5 people in his hometown know who he is. They don't bother with actually promoting the fight, only collecting their check from the tv network while their fighter draws 100 fans. Say what you want about Don King but he actually promotes a fight to the fans through the media, not sit around all week because it's got a tv deal.
