Roy didn't duck Collins. If they fought Roy would have won easily, even though Collins was a very good ifghter himself.
Great post Headbanger and from memory I will try and answer this post for the weakling called Popkins Fermin Chirino Danny Garcia Antoine Bird Vinny Pazienza former Lightweight world champ Tony Thornton Bryant Brannon - I have to draw a line here Head, Brannon was coming off an amazing win over 18-13-1 Troy Watson before fighting Jones Lou Del Valle - couldnt beat B Girard Otis Grant - A social worker or youth correctional worker or something I seem to recall Richard Frazier - A Policeman David Telesco Richard Hall - Caught with illegal substances in his system along with Jones Derek Harmon Glen Kelly Prince Badi Ajamu Anthony hamshaw Hope this answers some questions :good
i'm not too proud to hold my hands up when i am wrong and i now accept that not only did these fighters do much more than collins to earn a shot at roy jones, they basically beat roy jones' front door down with they're world class performances :deal credit to jones as well, some people call him a ducker but he gave the fans exactly what they wanted. roy knew that bryant brannon was all wrong for him after he dismantled troy watson but roy was having none of that, he just wanted the big challenges out there and bryant brannon certainly fits into that category :bbb
I find it funny that you would slag off Jones's competition when Collins fought a similar level of competition himself for a good period of his title rein. For what its worth I dont think roy ''ducked'' him, it was just a matchup that unfortunately did not come off. And Steve would never have beaten Jones, and that is a fact, cant see how you thik that Collins could ''out tough'' him:good
Are you drunk? You talk bull****,confirmed by HBO my arse.Nigel Benn wanted the fight with Roy Jones.FACT.Benn would`ve lost though had the fight happened.
Eubank looked laboured against Thornton, while Toney stood ground and looked strong all the way through for his win. There`s a long list of oppenents Eubank avoided.
These threads always contain **** talk from two of the worst posters on the Forum in HEADBANGER and Bailey, trying to claim that Jones ducked this fighter and that fighter:roll: In fact Collins collapsed during sparring for a fight with Joe Calzghe which would then have been follwed by a showdown with Jones. So the Jones fight was lined up at one point, only for Collins to be forced into retirement.
why do racists sometimes get offended when you call them racist? whatever, you lie to yourself everyday so if you think you're not racist, so be it. the only thing worse than your racism is your boxing knowledge. you even admit that you don't rank or know much about historical fighters but then you list some of today's fighters as all time greats. how do you know when you don't know the history of the sport? the fact that you think froch, benn, and collins all beat a prime jones at 168 shows you're full of ****. no one can be that stupid.
:roflatsch Jones has no Chin and no Heart. None. Couldn't adapt and had no Plan B in a fight. Handpicked his way through Divisions and avoided the top fighters.
haha! i bet $1000 that rico would **** his pants if he had to step in the ring with jones for just one minute. it's pretty safe posting anonymously, hiding behind your computer, isn't it.
