Fedors loses are legit tho the one against Big foot can be argued that Fedor might have gone the 3rd round cuz he looked kinda fine and the Hendo fight an early stoppage but Werdum had a legit win over him and i rate the other as a legit win over fedor also.

Okami never beat Silva. Silva lost due to KOing Okami with a upkick while okami was on the ground

the reason I posted this is just too say that everybody losses, even prime silva and that just because the great fedor lost, doesnt mean he is overrated or something else negativ. he is just past his prime and not the best he wants was, but all time ranking still #1.

    Ahhh gotcha

I dont think Prime is the main problem with Fedor's recent losses. Not saying he's in his Prime, but there were other factors that have led to these recent losses that are more relevant than the 'Prime' argument, which to me is an over simplified cop out

watch a vid of his rescent fight and watch a fight where he destroyed this black giant zulsha (forgot the name) in 30 secondes. he used too be much faster and stronger and that has too do with his prime, also his reflexes arent as good as they ones where and he simply isnt the fighter he used too be. since 1-2 years he just wants too get in the ring finish the thing as quickly as possible, without defence concerns etc. it simply doesnt work that way.

My GOD! No, Zuluzhino is ****, and not as good as Werdum, Silva or Hendo.

And that's my whole point. Fedor tried to overwhelm his recent opponents in the same fashion as the Zulu & Sylvia fight and he has paid dearly for it

Jumping into Werdums guard after overwhelming him with strikes

Getting smothered by Bigfoot whilst trying to overwhelm him with strikes

Getting kodded by Hendo when he clearly had the technique and hand speed advantage

You hit the nail on the head with the wanting to finish quickly point, you just didnt realise it. His reflexes dont seem to have dimmed to a significant degree to make that argument

Fedor has always gone about striking in the same way, with the exception of the Cro Cop fight

Fedors lost his speed, his reflexes, and his chin

He used to never lose, now he cant buy a win

Speed no, reflexes a little but not a huge degree, chin, debateable, Hendo hit's harder than BigFoot

so fedor is not a human being. a human being in sports someday they are past they prime, like wanderlei or lidell who beat 95 % of there opponents while being in their prime and past prime they have like 5 losses in 6 fights. so fedor is not comparable too wanderlei and lidell? so fedor is still in his prime basicly and he just lost because he is overrated..? think about all that, I made an excellent point and will leave it.

The truth is, he's completely ****ing shot.

And Stoo, I disagree, I think his handspeed is gone, as well. Don't get me wrong, he's still got fast hands for a heavy but they aren't blindingly fast like they used to be or Hendo wouldn't have been able to slide those counter hooks in when they were exchanging.

Yes, as their physical prowess diminished, it exposed the technical flaws that were always present in there fights

Does anyone have a side by side picture of Fedor in his pride days and Fedor of today. I´m guessing Fedor was about 15lbs heavier at the Pride time and yet he had much less bodyfat. He's probably lost about 30lbs of muscle and with that lots of speed. He's weaker, slower and doesn't have the same power. The way he eats and trains means his body was never gonna age well in that regard.
He got caught a few times now against hendo, Werdum also caught him with a shot and I thought Bigfoot if anything got the better of their exchanges. If I´m not mistaken the stats use to say Fedor got hit among the fewest times of any pride fighter. He seems to be very open now... but I´m guessing it's just because of his diminished power and speed, his opponents dare hit back and not just crawl into a fetis position.
